Scene Of The Week - September 15, 2013 - *POLL*

A weekly feature in which we're trying to find most compelling, best acted, written, directed and just generally great scenes that we've seen recently.

BOARDWALK EMPIRE, "New York Sour", September 8, 2013, Actor: Jack Huston
The Scene: Opening Gas Station Scene
Darth Locke:
Richard Harrow begins a killing spree on his way to Wisconsin.

BREAKING BAD, "To'hajiilee", September 8, 2013, Actors: Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Dean Norris, Steven Michael Quezada and others
The Scenes: Walt receives a text from Jesse & The shootout
Christopher Reilly:
Walt receives a text from Jesse threatening to burn all his money and Walt frantically races to the desert. The shift in gears in the editing and music and performances to ratchet up the tension really worked well.
Alex Zhora: The shootout

BURN NOTICE, "Reckoning", September 12, 2013, Actors: Jeffrey Donovan, Gabrielle Anwar
The Scene: Michael and Fiona run for their lives
Deb Saine:
Fi and Michael running for their lives in true Burn Notice fashion as the building behind them is blowing up with each step they take... they look at one another, grab hands and then jump through the plate glass window that Michael shot out and then, hands still clasped, they jump into the water... This scene is after you think both characters have died in the blast! This show has been one of my all-time favorites for seven years! And to be yanked around emotionally, thinking they've been killed, only to discover them jumping into the water and getting their happily-ever after! "My name is Michael Westen, I used to be a spy." LOVED this final episode! Nix did a terrific job as did the cast! Thanks for a great series!

COVERT AFFAIRS, "Hang Wire", September 10, 2013, Actors: Peter Gallagher, Gregory Itzin, Demore Barnes
The Scene: Arthur is told that Teo is dead
Virginia Fontana:
This is a tragic scene and Peter Gallagher gave an excellent performance in portraying the grief of the moment. The haunting presence of Henry's news interview in the background just made it more intense.

DEVIOUS MAIDS, "Cleaning Out the Closet", September 8, 2013, Actor: Roselyn Sánchez
The Scene: Carmen has to tell Alejandro's cleaning-obsessed boyfriend that he's being dumped
Virginia Fontana:
I loved how this scene epitomized the hilarious dichotomy of Carmen: she's a genuinely sweet person, and completely self-serving. Roselyn Sanchez brings so much warmth and fun to this role, even as Carmen's plotlines tend to zigzag all over the place.

DEXTER, "Goodbye Miami", September 8, 2013, Actors: Michael C. Hall, Charlotte Rampling, Darri Ingolfsson
The Scene: Dexter holds the dying Evelyn Vogel in his arms
Darth Locke:
Final Scene, where Dexter holds the dying Evelyn Vogel in his arms, after Saxon blatantly slices her throat in front of him. If anything has shown viewers just how far Dexter has come emotionally, it's this need to hold Evelyn in arms that clearly shows Dexter's ability to finally show his empathy. Heartbreakingly beautiful scene.

GRACELAND, "Pawn", September 12, 2013, Actors: Aaron Tveit, Daniel Sunjata, Vanessa Ferlito, Vincent Laresca
The Scene: Mike saves Briggs and Charlie
Justyna Kubica:
I'm glad the show got the second season, because I definitely want to see what's gonna happen next. It was a strong, quite satisfying finale and my favorite part was when Mike came Briggs and Charlie to the rescue. It was a very emotional moment, especially because of Charlie. Seeing her in that position wasn't easy. I really hoped she was just playing the guy few episodes back, sadly she was not. And it almost cost her her life, and Briggs'. So yay Mike for the rescue! For a moment I was thinking that maybe it should be Briggs to take down Jangles, but I guess he really just needed the guy gone, to breathe and work again. And Mike, well, he needed that win, if only to know that all he has done this season actually had meaning. Also, I love what a perfect marksman he is! Impressive shot! Made me think of those Wild West duels. And I really like the relationship between Mike and Charlie. It's a family thing. Anyway, I'm excited to see what the writers have in store for season 2!

HAVEN, "Fallout", September 13, 2013, Actors: Lucas Bryant, Eric Balfour
The Scene: Nathan and Duke hug after being reunited
Klutzy Girl:
It was a cute scene and I love how far their friendship's come.
Justyna Kubica: I missed Haven, it's been so long! I'm really happy the show is back, but so many things have changed. Audrey's gone and I absolutely can't wait for her to come back and remember everything. We've met some new interesting characters. And then there's Nathan. Poor Nathan! It hurts to even look at this guy. Nobody looks more broken than him. The only happy-ish moment he has in the entire episode is this scene, the one where he sees Duke. These two haven't exactly been best friends, also there's this issue with both of them being in love with the same woman, but still... I really want to see the friendship between them. If only because of this brief reunion. Nathan was just so happy to see him! And after seeing what had become of him it means so much. Also, I have to say, with his heartbreaking performance Lucas Bryant was definitely the star of the episode. Excellent work.

RAY DONOVAN, "Fite Nite", September 8, 2013, Actors: Jon Voight, Liev Schreiber
The Scene: Mickey comes back to Fite Club (picked by Alex Zhora)

RIZZOLI AND ISLES, "Partners in Crime", September 10, 2013, Actor: Angie Harmon
The Scene: Jane says she's always wanted a wife
Jamie Coudeville:
The Rizzles fan in me loved this.

SIBERIA, "Strange Bedfellows", September 9, 2013, Actors: Irene Szuchun Yee and others
The Scene: The group finally makes contact via the radio & The group meets up with Irene
DarkUFO:
The group at the research center finally makes contact via the radio.
Sharon Seymour: When the group meets up with Irene who has been healed by the locals.

SUITS, "Bad Faith", September 10, 2013, Actors: Gabriel Macht and others
The Scene: Ava sues the Pearson Darby Specter
Diana Mack:
Ava sues the Pearson Darby Specter and all the people involved in her case (including Harvey) for malpractice. That was a plot twist and made me love this season of "Suits" more and more!

THE BRIDGE, "Old Friends", September 11, 2013, Actors: Demián Bichir, Eric Lange, Annabeth Gish, Matthew Lillard, Emily Rios
The Scenes: Marco and Tate meet for the first time & Charlotte shoots Ray's friend & Daniel confesses to Adriana
DarkUFO:
Marco and Tate meet for the first time whilst Marco tries to ask where his son is.
Sharon Seymour: Charlotte shoots Ray's friend.
Alex Zhora: Daniel confesses to Adriana.

THE NEWSROOM, "Election Night, Part I", September 8, 2013, Actors: Chris Messina, Sam Waterston
The Scene: Reese summarizes his conversation with Leona
Klutzy Girl:
I don't like Reese very much, but his rant about Leona and what she wants from him was hilarious and also sad.

UNDER THE DOME, "Exigent Circumstances", September 9, 2013, Actors: Mike Vogel, Dean Norris, Rachelle Lefevre, Britt Robertson, Alexander Koch
The Scene: Big Jim shoots Dodee & The last scene (Barbie pleads "not guilty")
Justyna Kubica:
I really liked the last scene. The entire sequence, with Julia and Angie hiding in the hospital and talking, another mystery of the mini-dome, Junior asking the Dome what to do (even though I really dislike the guy) and of course, the most important part, which is Barbie pleading "not guilty" in front of the town. I was so happy he did it! Felt like a punch in Big Jim's face and that's a great thing. Even though he clearly was worried about his friends, Barbie decided not to go down without a fight. And that's exactly what makes him one of my favorite characters. I still can't believe in the fact that the town and Linda (I mean, come one! She can't be this horrible at her job!) so immediately got on Big Jim's side, but hey, at least someone still thinks clearly over there. I really can't wait for the finale! I know some people have problem with the show, but for me, it really got much better and more interesting a few episodes ago. So, less than two days to go!
DarkUFO: Big Jim shoots Dodee. (also picked by Sharon Seymour)
Bradley Adams: Barbie says "Not guilty". Finally someone makes a stand against Big Jim.
Klutzy Girl: It was Barbie's "screw you" to Jim and was awesome.
Jamie Coudeville: I loved Barbie standing up to Jim's blackmail.
Babar Suhail: Dodee calls out Big Jim before he shoots her.
