The SpoilerTV Readers Pilot Ratings Table - 2013/2014
8 May 2014
SpoilerTV ArticleLast Updated: 8th May 2014
You guys know that we here at SpoilerTV post the "What did you think of...?" polls where you can rate and discuss recently aired episodes. We decided that similar to our Reader Popularity Episode Tables, we would collate your ratings for all the pilots airing this TV season, so you have an idea of which pilot to watch, if you didn't already.
We rate the episode by giving each rating a points system i.e. Awesome = 5, Great = 4, Good = 3, OK = 2, Poor = 1 and Awful = 0. We then work out the average rating.
This table will be updated as each new pilot airs.
Note: Shows that have been cancelled are marked red, renewed in green.
Thanks for compiling this Babar. Should be interesting to see the best and worst pilots as judged by our readers
ReplyDeleteThis is a nifty feature to have! So glad SH is up there, and i do mean UP there! ;)
ReplyDeleteLast night episode of SH was kind of "meh" some inconsistencies but average, I loved the pilot tho, hopefully they will find their way throughout episode 5, Im not giving it up yet will probably watch it on demand or dvr it, since it airs at the same time as my baby "BATB" but will not give up on SH just yet, love the premises lets see how it does in ratings last night since it had major competition going on!
ReplyDeleteSo far I've seen Brooklyn 99 and Hostages, and both were fairly good episodes according to me.
ReplyDeleteTempted to watch The Blacklist now.
This is a great feature, looking forward to more pilot ratings that will be added.
I have to catche up tonight or I'm going to fall behind with all the pilots, I've only managed Brooklyn Nine Nine so far and it was pretty meh.
ReplyDeleteSleepy Hollow have an high ratings, people like me really liked. I will see The Blacklist and Hostages this week.
ReplyDeleteGreat feature! I only watched Sleepy Hollow so far and found it good, but not awesome. I´ll check out The Blacklist after seeing the good numbers listed above.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your help Andy.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was fine enough, of course I am hoping it gets better now.
ReplyDeleteSo far I'm not surprised by any of the rankings but we've still got lots of shows to go.
ReplyDeleteNormally if the table is not showing it's due to a corrupt cookie. Try clearing your cookies out.
ReplyDeleteI was really surprised by how much I enjoyed Trophy Wife.
ReplyDeletewhere is the list? I don't see anything?
ReplyDeleteTry clearing your cookies. Normally a corrupt cookie will stop the table from loading
ReplyDeleteWatched a lot of pilots this year. LOVED both Hostages & Mom. The rest, I'll wait and see :-)
ReplyDeleteThis year is awesome so far in terms of pilots. I already have a lot of them that I have fallen in love with, particularly Sleepy Hollow, Agents of Shield, The Blacklist, Masters of Sex, B99 and The Crazy Ones. I also liked Trophy Wife. So awesome!
ReplyDeleteIt is my new favorite show currently too
ReplyDeleteAwesome to know!
ReplyDeleteMy top 5 would be a combination of Arrow, Scandal, Revenge, Homeland, The Walking Dead, The Americans, Fringe, Dexter (S7) and Nikita. I cannot rank it properly right now :P
ReplyDeleteFringe would be number 1 for me, but I left it out as it was a series finale rather than the season finale. Haven't watched Nikita, now that is ending I'm considering watching it, how good is it?
ReplyDeleteI adore Nikita, I highly recommend it. It's a different type of show from anything else on the CW baring Arrow I think. Really great stuff. Very action oriented, with great plot twists and characters. The first half of season 1 is a bit slow as it is a bit procedural oriented but then it kicks off and leaves the procedural aspect out of it for the most part. Try it out!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that ;) I am also extremely busy with TV right now, so much going on
ReplyDeleteI didn't think a pilot would be able to beat "Dads", but "We Are Men" just did that.
ReplyDeleteOf all the pilots so far, the only one I´ll keep watching is Masters of Sex. :-( I hope to add a few more to my list.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see two of my shows at the top. Too bad about Ironside, it deserved better. But that's what you get when you make the pilot available online ahead of time. And now the low ratings may turn away potential viewers.
ReplyDeleteThese ratings are nothing to do with the number of people who watch the show. They are from the polls.
ReplyDeleteYes, I realize that. Maybe I should have said I wished the 'real' ratings will reflect the views of people here. Shouldn't try to cut corners and be brief. ;)
ReplyDeleteHa cool ;)
ReplyDeleteI think there's a mistake in the table, Originals has 4.02 but its below SHIELD with 4.00
ReplyDeleteHi @Henry Gale Not sure what you mean? All shows are available via the menu or the drop down list in the sidebar
ReplyDeleteI think he is suggesting like we have in the What's HOT page.
ReplyDeleteCool feature. Oh, and yeah Witches!
ReplyDeleteSo far I've watched pilots for Sleepy Hollow, The Blacklist, The Originals, Atlantis, SHIELD, Trophy Wife and Hostages and my favorites so far have been Sleepy Hollow and Hostages. SHIELD and Blacklist are OK, and I'm sticking with them for now, but they haven't managed to get me hooked yet.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised and very pleased to see Crazy Ones rated so high, SMG is my favourite actress, and while I didn't like Ringer, I want to see her shows do well.
ReplyDeleteWitches of East End is exposes the flaw or inaccuracy in this ratings table....
ReplyDeleteIt is a series not many people will tune into, and those that do are more inclined to like it. They will rate it highly and there will not be as many low votes to balance out the average rating. I think a number of more "genre" shows fit that pattern as well.
I think if it had a larger sample size of random TV fans like many other shows do it would not rank as high. Plus, some of the shows that slid down the table (especially agents of SHIELD) had many dubious negative scores that lowered their overall rating average.
The table is a nice guide to give an overall idea, but I'm not sure I would rely on it completely. The table sure is nice to help give perspective though... even if somewhat vague or misleading.
ETA:
Nothing against Witches of East End... I thought it was better than I expected it to be and better than a number of other offerings this Fall season.
Almost Human and Sleepy Hollow are my top favorite new shows. I also love Agents of Shield and The Originals. I like The Tomorrow People and OUAT Wonderland.
ReplyDeleteStill loving Masters of Sex and The Originals.
ReplyDeleteChicago PD makes an entry at #2. People sure seem to have liked it.
ReplyDeleteI am shocked with the ranking of Chicago PD, maybe I need to watch the show
ReplyDeleteI am thinking the same thing.
ReplyDeleteIt might be worth a look..
ReplyDeleteI was not all that intrigued by it watched it since I had time and I was quite impressed with the pilot. It has that darker, edgier feel to it like The Shield. I'm not sure where it will go down the line or how much of a procedural it will be, but it was one of the better premiere episodes of the season for me.
I thought it was quite good. I´ll be watching next week aswell.
ReplyDeleteEnlisted had a very good premiere episode, sadly FOX left it air after Raising Hope to die :S. They could have at least gave it a Bones lead in, even if for one night u.u
ReplyDeleteSad Bitten didn't do as well as it should have.. episode two should have been the pilot, alot more action than the pilot.
ReplyDeleteI think Bitten is an ok show, but it contiues to bother me how bad those wolves look. I ruins it a bit for me.
ReplyDeleteBut I agree that Bitten is a lot better than some of the shows higher up on the list.
Yeah.. but you gotta remember the budget they have. Space isnt going to give them a massive budget, you just have to try and ignore it but I do agree they suck but they are not what I watch the show for so i'm happy to look they other way.
ReplyDeleteI find it really cool two of my favorite underdogs - Sleepy Hollow and Almost Human had more successful Pilots than SHIELD (which I also enjoy). Sleepy Hollow went from me laughing at the concept to my favorite show this fall.
ReplyDeleteShouldn't Hello Ladies be red since it was cancelled?
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, thanks. I totally forgot to mark the cancelled cable shows.
ReplyDeleteGood for star crossed i guess... I really liked the pilot...Let's see what they have for us.
ReplyDeleteanyone know if bitten, crazy ones or the tomorrow people are going to be renewed?
ReplyDeleteNo news on any of them yet.

thanks for that :)
ReplyDeleteThis chart has nothing to do with neilsen ratings, BTW
ReplyDeleteGreat to see Star-Crossed up the top. Most people I know loved the pilot & it deserves to have a nice reader rating. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and woo hoo! So glad to see Chicago PD up top!
ReplyDeleteI watched many of these and nothing tops Sleepy Hollow's pilot.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised SHIELD is not #1 now but Sleepy Hollow is still my favorite new show.
ReplyDeleteSo shocked people think 24 was that good!
ReplyDeleteIt was like a highlight reel of 8 seasons of their cliches! XD
Hi! I tried to contact you through G+ to talk about when you were planning to do your contest this summer. I am planning to bring back the Character Cup and I don't want our contests to overlap. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI don't plan on doing it until the December/January.
ReplyDeleteFabulous. I will start right after Bradley's done with the episode contest then.
