In the top 25 Markets:
Back in the Game scored a modest 2.3 a 18-49 demo, while Revolution and CSI crashed down with a 1.8 for Revolution and a 1.7 for CSI, Nashville did slightly better with a 1.9 and Law & Order: SVU greatly build on Revolution with a 2.8.
Note: these ratings are for the top 25 markets only and show the percentage of adults 18-49 who watched these shows, there may be slight adjustments in national numbers.
1.7 for CSI ??! Poor CBS...
ReplyDeleteI love Revolution but am already preparing myself that this will be the last year.
ReplyDeleteAnd even L&O SVU was a full point ahead of it in the top 25 demos.
ReplyDeleteCBS is collapsing
ReplyDeleteRevolution already had a 1.8 in the demo and that was S01E15 so not really a series low.
ReplyDeleteCBS collapsing Is great.SVU doing better In that demo and nashville doing just barely better In Demo that the overhyped CSI.Although maybe consent cast changes are finally causing some viewers to tuneout on CSI.
ReplyDeleteRevolution is a special case. I am not sure how much it will fall from its premiere audience to be honest. People who accompanied the move to Wednesdays are mostly people willing to stick with it, it's not like it's a new show. I want to wait until finals, but if it did pull a 1.8 I think it has a shot as long as it holds.
ReplyDeletemost show do drop from their season premieres tho
ReplyDeleteI agree people who stuck with it through season 1 will continue to stick with it on wednesdays. Also wednesday's episode is getting great reviews and people who quit in season1 are saying they might start watching again which means next week we might see an increase in ratings.
ReplyDeleteYep, 1.8 is still very good for NBC. NBC last season averaged around 1.3 for their drama/comedy shows. It it stays above 1.4/5 it should be safe.
ReplyDelete2.8 for svu? the show averaged 1.6 last year right? I'm surprised...But considering the advertising around the episode, I'm not surprised that people who stopped watching the show years ago watched it just to see benson get raped.
ReplyDeleteThis I like to hear. It actually made the Honorable mention category so I guess I'm happy about that.
ReplyDeleteSo that's pretty decent for them on said night, good to know!
ReplyDeleteI do know that and I am sure it will drop some, but I am saying that it could have less than typical drops because its audience had eroded already quite a bit in season 1 and was mostly constant towards the end. If its has premiered on wednesday at that same level, it means that there is a core group of people watching and not casual viewers, so as long as they satisfy those core viewers quality wise, it could potentially do fine. I am not saying it will, just that it not dead walking.
ReplyDeleteits especially good for an 8pm show that doesnt have a huge lead in on NBC
ReplyDeleteTrue, I think that's usually due to hype and it's usually heavilly promoted along with the finale.

ReplyDeleteYeah, premieres tend to do a lot better because of the hype/heavily promoted.
ReplyDeleteI feel bad that CSI was down last night, it was an excellent hour of entertainment. Solid story with fantastic twists.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what happened.
ReplyDeleteI really hope you are wrong, the cast changes of late have been solid changes. Last night may have been the best writing in a long while and the outcome was a real shocker.
ReplyDeleteCSI with 1.7? Wow that is unexpected.
ReplyDeleteThe Following rose from it's premiere last season.
