Very funny! hopefully more people agree and it shows in the ratings! Great cast all around; I liked how Williams and Gellar clicked and Wolk was just amazeballs, Setton looks very promising with her timing (she was definitely being wasted on The Mindy Project) and hopefully we will se more of Linklater who was great on New Christine. Special kudos to Kelly Clarkson, she can play douchey so well -specially on that scene with SMG hahah-
The subversion and following straightness of sentimentality tropes was a clever move, it really makes me curious with what they will do next!
That was awesome! I was not even counting on watching it, but everyone saying it loved it and the high rating made me try it! I laughed a lot, I adored the characters and it had a lot of heart! Everything I wish for in a comedy! I'm in, really excited about it!
I figured that I'd like it, but I enjoyed it more than I was expecting! My mom and I were laughing a lot - which is always good! I'm excited to see the next episode!
I loved the father-daughter dynamics and the secondary characters. It jsut wasn't near as funny as I expected. It was good, but here's hoping it gets better as it progresses.
I thought it was good, solid story line, funny and yet it had heart. The father-daughter relationship is for me the biggest draw now I've seen it, they should build on that dynamic as the main focus of the show.
I really enjoyed this pilot a lot! Just enough RW-isms to make it fun but controlled and tempered with a great job in the straight man role by SMG (who I hope the writers let her cut loose a bit in the future). decent supporting cast and an enjoyable guest turn by Kelly Clarkson. Loved the bloopers in the credits as well. will keep sampling, but I'm pretty certain this one's a keeper
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Loved it. My favorite comedy pilot, ahead of Trophy WIfe and Mom.
ReplyDeleteI loved it!
ReplyDeleteI laughed a lot actually and I thought the whole cast was hilarious. I also love the father/daughter relationship between Simon and Sydney.
Definitely going to stick with this show.

I loved it and I saw the promo for next week with the coffee, it looks even funnier. I pray this did well in the ratings!
ReplyDeleteLoved it! So funny. My favorite comedy pilot, right there with Brooklyn Nine Nine and Trophy Wife.

ReplyDeleteRobin Williams was amusing, but I really, really hope every episode is not going to be so overtly a product placement wet dream....
