Terrible. I used to be a huge fan of the show until season six, but it's getting worse and worse and that saddens me. The Howard/Raj scene was pathetic. Penny & Sheldon are the best part of the show and are the one and only reason I'm still watching the show.
1) I didn't say I hated the show, and never will I, because I don't. But what I did say is that I used to be a huge fan, and think it's getting worse but still watch it because of two characters I love, which I have the right to think. That's all.
2) Who are you to question my “taste in television”, or to question anything about me for that matter? It is not up to you to decide whether I should stop watching a show or keep watching it. It is up to me and I don't have to explain myself to you. You can disagree with me, that's totally fine, but you don't have the right to say anything about me watching a show I enjoy watching (or used to, whatever).
3) I loved the show for about five seasons and a half, and am still attached the same characters I loved at this point. I can't just stop watching it. Could you?
No, you don't have to explain yourself at all. That's the benefits of having an opinion. They're yours, just the same as my counter opinion is mine. I jumped to a conclusion, but it was based on a comment that read like you actually do hate the show.
You pointedly say right there at the end that you are only watching the show for one thing, right after saying the show is getting worse and decrying two other main characters in the process by calling a scene pathetic.
As you have the right to state your opinion, I have the right to counter that opinion. You or I having an opinion that's not in agreement with each other does not in any way override either opinion. It's quite silly how often people overlook that very simple fact.
And that is where my "right" comes from. I can say anything I want about you, just as you can say anything you want about me. I disagree with you but I have absolutely nothing against you personally.
And the reason I called into question your taste in television is very simple. I believe that disliking almost everything about a show and continuing to watch it for only a singular reason is kind of stupid. All it really does is give you ample opportunity to continue to complain about the show in question.
This happened all the time to a show called Gossip Girl, where a lot of people hated it but continued watching it for some small reason. Those same people invaded every comment section and spammed their hatred for the show, only to watch it again the following week and spam their hatred even more. It was ridiculously stupid.
You don't want to abandon a show you're attached to. Okay that's fine, do whatever you want. I have absolutely no control over your life. But the very small thing I can do here on the internet is disagree with you and call into question your reasoning, which I see as illogical.
It's not a personal attack unless you make it into one.
I understand what you mean and agree with you regarding what you said about the Gossip Girl thing. I never watched that show but indeed read that some people were just watching it to complain about it. But that's not me, I don't like wasting my time watching a show I don't like to watch just to prove some kind of point or follow a trend.
The thing is, and I think you perfectly understood me when I answered to your comment, I don't watch the show to complain about it. I've never done such a thing and never will. Yes, I do watch it ONLY because of my love for two characters, but that doesn't make it wrong. There's no “wrong reason”, really. I like watching the show only when the aforementioned characters are in it. That's holding on to a show I once loved.
I liked the Episode it was really funny and a litle unconfortable to watch too the Raj/Howard scene was one of those weird moments but when Bennadette shows up i just laugh! it was weird and funny at the same time and that`s what i think it matters in this type of shows!
Different strokes, I guess. I thought he Howard/Raj scene was hilarious, especially with Bernadette standing there watching them, nonplussed. I agree that this show is past its peak, but it's still funnier than every other sitcom I watched this week, combined.
Actually you cannot say "anything you want" about her and she cannot say anything she wants about you. On SpoilerTV, we try to keep it about the show and not comment about the person. You may not mean for something to come off as a personal attack but it may certainly seem that way to others. That's why sticking to the show as the conversation is the best plan.
So good! The Howard and Raj scene with Bernardette looking really was something. Loved Penny and Sheldon as well! Amazing start, I adore this show, it never fails to put me in an excellent mood!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI have to question your taste in television just from the fact that you can hate 99% of a show, and still stick around because of the 1% you enjoy.
ReplyDeleteEasy, there.

I don't know about that--I'd hardly call Sheldon and Penny 1% of the show.

ReplyDeleteThe first half was okay. The second half had me guffawing. Howard getting Raj's opinion on the state of his boobs was a hoot.
ReplyDeleteI love this Show!! Howard and Raj XD i laugh for 10 minute ahahah it was really funny !!
