The second installment of New Girl explores a little more Jess and Nick’s relationship. I liked how Nick tries his best to give Jess some advices on how to get along with her colleagues at work – even tough, according to Nick’s style.
Indeed, we also know something more about Jess and Nick’s past: they confront on their high school, and we see a nerd Jess and a freaky Nick.
Meanwhile, Schmidt just continues to hang out with both Elizabeth and Cece. When the two meet at the party in Schmidt’s work, I really thought the girls would have realized he was deceiving them all this time... which it didn’t happen.
As fan of that AMC series, I loved Schmidt mentioning Donald Draper from Mad Men when he talks about his office, “Let's talk about it, in my perfect two-thirds replica of Don Draper's office.” He always offers one of the best quotes.
Least, but not last, Winston’s storyline. He wants to kill Daisy’s cat in revenge against her, who cheated on him. “An eye for an eye, a cat for a cat.” “But where’s the other cat?” asks Nick, when he sees Winston trying a way to murder that poor cat – thanks God he didn’t end up torturing him.
The thing that made me sense was watching Daisy’s cat licking Schmidt’s nipple, while he was sleeping in the couch... that scene was so… weird!
Best parts: Jess singing “What’s going on” by standing on the toilet, while her colleagues were watching her; also the music “I don’t want to wait” (Dawson’s Creek theme, as you know) playing in the background, while Nick and Jess discover what was the ‘Jacuzzi’ about... I swear, I was expecting Dawson Leery coming out in that moment! "OMG did you kill Jess?" ask Winston and Schmidt when they see Jess lying self-inconscious on her bed. That scene was hilarious!
What do you think about Jess and Nick together? Is their relationship going to grow or to fall? And what about Schmidt and his secret affairs? Share your thoughts below.
