ReplyDeleteNora is Dean's love interest. They wont try with Sam again, theres a kid involved (little boy), the fist half of the season will be Dean heavy if spoilers so far are anything to go by, they're trying to follow on from last season with Dean finding something outside of hunting (finding the light at the end of the tunnel).
so far-(based on spoilers and speculation)
1-Dean heavy-Dean trying to save Sam
2-mythology heavy with Abaddon and other hunters
3-Mythology heavy?
4-MOL with Charlie and Wizard of Oz case/flashbacks (lots of Dean and Charlie friendship?)
5-Bad Boys-featuring an old flame of Dean's/a rumoured Dean hook up
6-Dog Dean Afternoon-Dean can talk to animals
7-featuring new angel? and as possible recurring character single mum Nora who is likely to be a love interest for Dean?
8-the possible return of Jody Mills
Before the female fans start writing hate mail, it could be neither Sam or Dean. It could be Castiel.

ReplyDeleteI think it will be Dean or Castiel. Most probably Castiel. I'm not going to write hate mails, I just have a bad feeling about it - that they will try force sth that is not working like it happened with Amelia. Of course, it could be great, I could be wrong and in a few months I will be the number one fan of the pairing but right now I don't like it.
ReplyDeleteI know he's not in the premier but he is going to pop up in episodes here and there, I dont know enough which is why I didnt mention him, nearly all the spoilers we've has so far have been about Dean.
ReplyDeleteit could be Cas we know he's supposed to be hooking up just figure it would be an awkward/jokey experience more for laughs than an actual connection and recurring love interest.
ReplyDeletealthough Amelia wasn't particularly likable I think the hate for her was more about Sam having a story line outside of Dean more than anything else. If that time spent had been with another character other than Sam as the focus fans may not have been so whiny about it.
ReplyDeleteThen again maybe if they'd just said that Sam looked for a way to get Dean out of Purgatory but couldn't find anything fans may have been more willing to accept the Amelia story line.
I don't know how the fans would react if that was the case ;) But I doubt it if I would have changed my mind. I simply didn't see the love, the connection between those two. She was supposed to be his 'unicorn' etc but I found their interactions forced and a bit unnatural. It has nothing to do with Dean or anything else that happened.
ReplyDeleteCas is in the premiere, Ausiello was wrong and then TVLine/Ausiello retracted Ausiello's statement; Cas will not be in 9.02.

If it happens like this, I think it could be ok. They need to deal with all kinds of human experience for Cas to make it believable. But I am worried about this possibly reccuring thing. Of course we will not know anything for sure until the episode airs but we can pass the time discussing stuff that bothers us or makes us glad :)

ReplyDeleteI dont think it will be any more interesting to watch Cas bumble his way through a romantic storyline than it was with Sam or Dean.
ReplyDeletethe recurring thing suggests it is not Cas even more so with the woman having a kid, I'm 90% sure that its Dean. A love interest not set in the past and not set up between seasons takes time and screen time so its unlikely to be Sam and I don't even think they'll spend that much time on Cas but you never know Carver seems to have a hard on for him after all/
ReplyDeleteOh I can't stand Cas on a good day - whatever that is, lol - it just makes more sense that *IF* Nora is recurring because she is to be an LI and the author of the EW article admitted this was a spec - and not for another reason (she's going to become another hunter-in-training, for example), Nora will be Cas's "LI".
ReplyDeleteSo if Nora was Dean love interest than it would be accidental to see her again because of ephraim. I hope I don't think where this is going, by that I mean death. I wonder if this is an open relationship with Sam knowing?. It does sounds interesting :)
