The premiere for the third season of Hart of Dixie is fast approaching. News is starting to slowly get out about the first episode of the season. Yet all remains relatively quiet for news on what to expect later on in the season.
Casting
Mircea Monroe recently tweeted that we could expect to see Tansy around for a “good amount.”
There is no official announcement at this time, but ATB Talent tweeted and posted on their Facebook page that Susan Diol (One Life to Live) booked a major recurring role. With Laura Bell Bundy being cast as a regular on Anger Management, it could possibly mean that Shelby won’t be sticking around BlueBell for too long this season. Could this new character end up being Brick’s new love interest? EP Leila Gerstein said back in June that new love interests would be coming on for almost everyone.
We will be meeting a new member of Joel’s family when his Aunt Sylvie comes to BlueBell to celebrate Hanukkah with Zoe and Joel later this season.
What to Expect
There has been no official word on what role Joel will play in Zoe’s life this season, but it does seem to be clear that he and Zoe will be romantically linked at some point. Zoe will be meeting a member of Joel’s family. Leila Gerstein said that Joel would be around for a “major arc” this season. It has also been said that Wade wouldn’t be too happy about Joel’s arrival this season. Zoe’s love life is about to become a little less crowded as Rachel Bilson said that she thinks either Wade or George is “going to be eliminated.” It wouldn’t be too much of a leap to assume that Joel will be replacing George in Zoe’s love triangle.

Also during the filming of episode 307, Green River Ordinance was on set filming in the Rammer Jammer. Their latest single is “It Ain’t Love”.
Promo
The CW has recently released the description and promo stills for the premiere, “Who Says You Can’t Go Home?” There was also a producer’s preview by Leila Gerstein discussing the premiere episode. In addition interviews with Scott Porter and Wilson Bethel have also been put out discussing their characters.
That’s a wrap for the recent spoilers. Hart of Dixie premieres on Monday, October 7, at 8pm/7pm central on the CW.
