  2. Don't you go sassing Jakes or Johnny. They are holding this team and in some cases this show together.

  3. You have a much higher opinion of Jakes than I do.

  4. I like the idea that he is loyal to Briggs right now and they have a lot of history that intrigues me. Having the entire house out to get Briggs makes the story less interesting to me. Johnny and Jakes provide that buffer and alternate viewpoint, even if they end up dead wrong.

  5. I don't see it as Jakes being loyal to Briggs. As Briggs stated, Jakes owed him and Briggs was calling in his favor. Jakes is honoring his debt. I guess that's one positive thing I can say about the guy, although Briggs did admit to killing a fellow agent so I'm using the term positive very loosely here.

  6. I don't think Jakes would risk imprisonment just to repay Briggs. He's known Briggs since before Graceland existed and it was hinted that he was there during Briggs' worst moment (minus becoming a heroin addict). I think there is a lot of history between them and he believes that while Briggs may not always do things the right way, he does them for the good of others. I'm not saying that Briggs is right here, but I admire the loyalty and look forward to learning more background.

It also helps that Charlie is grating on my last nerve these days and I've never cared one way or another about Mike.

I don't agree. I think this has less to do with his history with Briggs and more to do with Jakes having shown both personally and professionally that he's very comfortable doing whatever the hell he wants regardless of potential consequences and to the effect it may have on those around him. His judgement is questionable to say the least.

  8. "Her stupidity", what the hell are you talking about? She is literally that only person in the house, including Mike, who has caught on to the fact that Briggs is Odin.

  9. I'm talking about the fact that she's working an off-book case (strike one) with a foreign agent (strike two) she didn't even bother to properly check out (strike three). That's not only dangerous but borderline incompetent.

  10. Eh Charlie isn't dumb but she should of stayed an addict because I haven't seen her eyes open more than half way all year
