NBC has put in development two single-camera projects from up-and-coming writers. An untitled family comedy from Aseem Batra (Animal Practice), exec produced by Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment and Joe and Anthony Russo, is loosely based on Batra’s life growing up in Georgia. It centers on a single dad who moves his out-of-control family from the chaos of a big city to a quiet but quirky town in the deep south. Universal TV, where Batra is under an overall deal, is producing.
Craig Gerard and Matthew Zinman‘s Season Tickets, from 20th Century Fox TV, centers on a New York transplant who finds family when he joins a section of season ticket holders for the Kansas City Royals.
