Burn Notice - Series Finale Ratings

Sep 14, 2013

About 5 million people tuned in to the premiere telecast of the Burn Notice series finale last night at 9 PM — the USA Network show’s biggest audience in more than a year. That’s 1 million+ viewers stronger than the drama series’ penultimate episode last week. About 1.6 million of the crowd who came to say goodbye after seven seasons were 18-49 year olds. It was the night’s second-most-watched cable program, behind only NFL Network’s New England Patriots vs New York Jets football game — that clocked 8.8 million viewers.

  1. RIP Maddie! Mike, Fi & Charlie in Ireland and Sam & Jesse still carrying on in Miami. Couldn't ask for a better ending.

  2. I'm glad Burn Notice ended with strong ratings, the cast and the crew deserve it and the series finale was such a great episode.
I just can't help but thinking there would be a next season if all these viewers have watched BN all along.
("You know viewers, bunch of bitchy little girls" :-p )

  3. I dream of a Sam spin-off where he comes up with catchphrases such as "you know spies..." on a weekly basis! :P

  5. I don't think ratings are the reason Burn Notice got cancelled. It was consistently in the top 25 most viewed cable list, usually second after WWE for USA, and averaged a 1.o in demo or higher. That may not seem like much but it is enough to make it one of the best rated shows on USA Network still.

  6. Yes, you're right. I know ratings aren't the reason why they got cancelled. And I know also that the show was getting old and had to end.
I think this was just my way saying : I'm dreaming about BN being nothing but number 1 in the most viewed cable list and getting a last season again, different than this season.
