Well, given that last scene and that last phone call to Marie, I'd say that at least two DEA agents should die next week. So they're not showing anything in the promo because it would give it all away, even by showing one second.
I think we all know how the events are going to play out... and while I kind of didn't care about Hank going down, it is nonetheless sad. Also... GOMIE! Love that guy! And please, please, please, pretty please with a blue meth cherry on top... please don't let Jesse die!
I don't necessarily disagree but to player Mr White's advocate(see what I did there?) they couldn't show them surviving either because that would also ruin the shoot out. I do think at least Hank will die though. I think it's setting up for Walt to lose absolutely everything. His money, his empire, his family, etc.
Best promo of the season. I was thinking you'd just see Hank and Gomez trading gunfire with Todd and his uncles for 30 seconds. But that plus Skyler makes it that much better.
Yep, this show is not disappointing in the slightest. I always thought Hank would die, from the moment we had the flash forward showing Walt still alive, but the fact that both Marie and Skyler will think Walt ordered it will make all the more interesting.
Hank and Gomie die, Walt practically sells Jessie into slave labour to the extremists, who make him cook for them as their prisoner. Skylar now sides with Marie because of Hank's death and tells Walt Jr everything. The walls are closing in on Walt so he hands over his $150k, fakes his death and sets up a new life elsewhere...
...jump to the flashforward. Walt can no longer live with himself over Jessie being captive and so returns for a final showdown to free him...
Hank and Gomez dies. Jesse picks up Walt's gun and shoot the Nazis from behind. 6 of them. 1 bullet each. Jesse runs away. Walt goes back to his family and pack up.
My theory, and it's just a theory: Hank and Gomez die in the shootout, rendering Walt's phone confession useless. Jesse escapes harm by hiding out in the car, while Jack and Todd and surviving Nazis take Walt and force him to cook. Walt manages to get back to his house and has the family pack to leave. Saul helps the family escape and thus Walt Jr. finds out what's been going on. The family is split apart and Walt is alone. The "52" he writes with bacon is a message to someone about the whereabouts of the money. What I hope doesn't happen is that the DEA gets Walt's false confession tape and believes Hank is Heisenberg.
I just don't see how 2 guys would survive that kind of shootout - they are so out numbered. I can not wait to see what happens next week which is why I'm searching the net for spoilers, lol. Just as Walt seemed to finally surrender and accept his fate, he wins again. Jesse must really think he's the devil now...
No, actually I just read Pearson Moore's review of Rabid Dog and that reminded me of Jesse saying, "He can't get away with this," so he does indeed see the evil in Walt. After all, he's compared Walt to the Devil. But he's hurting, too. Walt has made a hell of Jesse's life. Now when Jesse finds out about Jane (and I somehow think he might), he'll be enraged down to his core.
The promo pictures for 'Ozymandis' released show Walt on phone in what appears to be a building that *could* be a hospital. Perhaps Hank survives after Walt rushes him there, Gomie is killed. Walt goes to the vaccum cleaner guy to disappear as Hank is not dead but 'Heisenberg' information is now in the hands of the DEA. The House, Carwash etc all confiscated by DEA (thus the flash forward showing the vacant house) Walt comes back to rescue Jesse in the final who has been taken to tutor Todd in exchange for his life and they go out in a blaze of glory in the desert where it all began. Hank, Skylar, Marie survive. My theory for what it's worth.
To be fair, I doubt they would take his name off the IMDB episode pages because that would give it away. They are going to pretty extreme lengths to keep this all secret.
Good point. I noticed Mike and Tuco will be on the next episode, obviously in a flashback. But as for the main characters as someone else said they may have left their names there to keep everything secret. I hope they wouldn't make it that easy to find spoilers
It's 6 Nazi's armed with automatic weapons and explosives vs. 2 DEA agents armed with pistols and a shotgun. Any situation in which Hank and Gomez survive is going to be such fraud that it's going to ruin all authenticity that is Breaking Bad. Not saying I want to see Hank die, but at this point there is NO CHOICE.
I don't think it's that obvious, given that we know Walt doesn't die and there are plenty of bullets hitting the car, it is not necessary that Hank dies (although odds aren't in his favour). Also, death typically happens at the end of an episode so there can be lots of music and tears etc. Maybe he'll get hospitalised (could all be wishful thinking on my part)
Any of the series regulars (Hank, Walt, Skylar, etc.) would be credited in every episode even *if* there characters weren't in a given episode. The fact that MIke/Tuco/etc. are on IMDB for Ozymandias is pretty interesting though.
while i think your probably right, in that: cell phones don't record and store conversations on their own.you would need a cell phone call recorder attachment for that. It would have been really odd for Hank and Gomie to not have made effort to record that conversation. Even though it was not mentioned, its a fair assumption that Hank recorded the call.
The question that Linlighthouse and sejones23's comments make me ask myself is: Where is the audio recording? If Hank was using official means, the audio recording is safe and sound on a computer in the DEA building; but Hank was investigating Walt secretly because: his supervisor strictly forbade him from doing any further work on the Heisenberg case. Given this: its possible that only Hank and Gomie know anything about whats going on. Hank says " I will come back with a search team" and " i will call the tribal police...." ,but he never got a chance to any of those things. Given his history with this, he may have wanted to wait till he had Walt before saying anything.
This leaves a very remote possibly that Walt could get away clean, and live happily ever after.
What i think would really happen if: Hank and Gomie die in the shootout is that: Walt will find himself at the mercy of the nazi's, being forced to cook at their leisure ; drawing similarities to the Fring situation. He will probably have to kill a nazi or two to get out of the prediciment, hence the need of the risen in the ep.9 flash forward: Speaking of that :Walt had scarring or some type of fugly plaster on his throat, hinting that he may survive his cancer remission through surgery, claim further backed because: he does not cough or wheeze once during the entire scene, also he has a full head of hair. Back on the topic at hand, and why i even mention this : is it just me, or , does the gun in his trunk look just like the gun the mustache nazi had?
I agree that it seems like they would have tried to record Jesse's conversation with Walt, especially since Jesse hangs up the moment that Walt confesses to a slew of murders. I think that Hank would leave such evidence where Marie could find it if something were to happen to him.
About the gun: Kenny (moustachioed Nazi) had (I believe) an AA-12 shotgun, whereas Walt buys an M-60 machine gun.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
The reason why they're not showing new scenes is so obvious.
ReplyDeleteSo true. I really want them, but what you say is true. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteIt's Lost all over again. I missed those times.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I'm not catching the obvious part =/ Why aren't they showing it?
ReplyDeleteWell, given that last scene and that last phone call to Marie, I'd say that at least two DEA agents should die next week.
ReplyDeleteSo they're not showing anything in the promo because it would give it all away, even by showing one second.
Couldn't have said it better myself
ReplyDeleteGot it! Thanx! I have never been part of such a huge cliffhanger like this one in ANY show I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteI think we all know how the events are going to play out... and while I kind of didn't care about Hank going down, it is nonetheless sad. Also... GOMIE! Love that guy! And please, please, please, pretty please with a blue meth cherry on top... please don't let Jesse die!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Awesome!! I hope the previews stay like this.
ReplyDeleteDitch the blue meth cherry, I want that fucker dead. No one spits in Walt's face and gets away with it. Fucker's gotta die.
ReplyDeleteAh, for me, when Walt killed Mike I was wholly against Walt/Heisenberg. So anything Walt gets, like a loogie in the face, is fine by me.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Walt killing Mike was when I stopped siding with him as well.
ReplyDeleteR.I.P. Hank Schreder.
ReplyDeleteI hope the promo for the final episode is just two words on screen for 30 secs 'Holy shit'
ReplyDeleteI don't necessarily disagree but to player Mr White's advocate(see what I did there?) they couldn't show them surviving either because that would also ruin the shoot out. ReplyDeleteBest promo of the season. I was thinking you'd just see Hank and Gomez trading gunfire with Todd and his uncles for 30 seconds. But that plus Skyler makes it that much better.
ReplyDeleteme too. It´s allright if Walt dies. I´d really like to see Jesse survive though.

ReplyDeleteLost's flash forward in season 3, but yes... this is a top cliffhanger as well
ReplyDeleteGiven what Jesse's been a party to, I can't justify his self-righteousness.
ReplyDeleteHank and Gomie die, Walt practically sells Jessie into slave labour to the extremists, who make him cook for them as their prisoner. Skylar now sides with Marie because of Hank's death and tells Walt Jr everything. The walls are closing in on Walt so he hands over his $150k, fakes his death and sets up a new life elsewhere...
ReplyDelete...jump to the flashforward. Walt can no longer live with himself over Jessie being captive and so returns for a final showdown to free him...
You know an episode is gonna be good when they can't find 30 seconds that wouldn't give out too much!
ReplyDeleteYou spoke the truth!
ReplyDeleteHank and Gomez dies. Jesse picks up Walt's gun and shoot the Nazis from behind. 6 of them. 1 bullet each. Jesse runs away. Walt goes back to his family and pack up.
ReplyDeleteto play the devil here it could also be all survive & reason not showing is because dont want you knowing all live
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't seem to me like self-righteousness as much as it is pure anger at being so used and manipulated and hurt.
ReplyDeleteMy theory, and it's just a theory: Hank and Gomez die in the shootout, rendering Walt's phone confession useless. Jesse escapes harm by hiding out in the car, while Jack and Todd and surviving Nazis take Walt and force him to cook. Walt manages to get back to his house and has the family pack to leave. The "52" he writes with bacon is a message to someone about the whereabouts of the money. What I hope doesn't happen is that the DEA gets Walt's false confession tape and believes Hank is Heisenberg.
ReplyDeleteIt is more born out of the anger -- but he has to believe he's a better person than Walt is or he wouldn't be so angry about the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteAdmittedly, I may be over-stating the self-righteousness a little because what Walt has done is blown right and wrong completely out of the water.
I just don't see how 2 guys would survive that kind of shootout - they are so out numbered. I can not wait to see what happens next week which is why I'm searching the net for spoilers, lol. ReplyDelete..and a week before the gang was good enough shot to take out a heavily armed rival gang..
ReplyDeleteIf you want a real spoiler go on imdb and looked at the casts for the remaining episodes. All the main characters are in the remaining 3 episodes.
ReplyDeleteGo on imdb. Hank is in all of the remaining episodes.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that buy since they've used flash forward and flashbacks I wasn't sure what to make of it.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, I doubt they would take his name off the IMDB episode pages because that would give it away. They are going to pretty extreme lengths to keep this all secret.
ReplyDeleteI've read the comments and I agree: It's LOST all over again. Can't wait to see the new BB episode!
ReplyDeleteYou may be right. I actually hope you're right.
