all the Friends friendships for me (and not only the guys, but all the variations between them). Also Meredith and Cristina. I love how they describe themselves as "my person". I also would mention Astrid and Walter from Fringe; and Buffy and Willow from Buffy.
All the Good Wife friendships are awesome - Alicia/Kalinda, Alicia/Cary, Diane/Will, Kalinda/Will, Diane/Eli...
Fran/Niles on The Nanny should also be on the list, I absolutely love their friendship! From those on the list, I voted Emily/Nolan on Revenge, though I like Aiden/Nolan as well.
I find the friendships of people who are very different most interesting, like Raylan and Boyd on Justified, Walter and Jesse on Breaking Bad, Locke and Ben on Lost, Holder and Linden on The Killing and Opie and Jax on SOA. But from the list above I would pick everybody from Friends. Compared to the people I mentioned before, they have a very healthy, fun and open friendship. But I tend to find it good entertainment when the friendships are more difficult.
Deb & Angel - Dexter Lumen & Dexter - Dexter September & Walter - FRINGE Astrid & Walter - FRINGE Kate & Sayid - LOST Sayid & Danielle - LOST Charlie & Desmond - LOST John & Jack - LOST Hugo & Charlie - LOST Charlotte, Daniel, Miles, & Frank - LOST Richard Alpert & Ben - LOST Emma & August - OUAT Regina & Jefferson - OUAT Grumpy & Snow - OUAT Mr. Gold & Emma OUAT Amy & Tyler - Enightened. Ya probably!!XD. -Granted one can argue what the def of friends are with some of these, since most of the complicated shows people tend to be "frenemies" and/or have friendships that short lived by some monkey wrench or are a matter of convienience XD
From the list, I voted Emily and Nolan, and Joey, Ross and Chandler. Others: - Linden and Holder (The Killing) - Buffy, Willow and Xander - Angel, Cordelia and Wesley - Finch and Reese (Person of Interest).
- Walter and Astrid (Fringe) - Veronica and Wallace (Veronica Mars) - Sarah and Felix (Orphan Black)
if I have to chose from the ones on the list, I would pick the guys from friends, the girls from friends, sex and the city, and also meredith and christina, but I'd also like to add Brennan and Angela, and booth and sweets from bones, and callen and sam from ncis la
The crazy thing is I most watch that show pretty much strictly because of the cast. It's your normal slightly different crime procedural like most crime procedurals now... except it stars my favorite cast members from Battlestar Galactica and Lost as well as O'Loughlin and Cann who make tv's best "bromance."
I like the cast too, but I'm 1 1/2 seasons behind! (partially because I really get into serialized stuff and have probably taken on more than I can chew) -One of these days I'll be caught up though. Season 4 sounds like it will have some fun familiar guest cast!.
-I hope Orci and Kurtzman do well with Sleepy Hallow! ::fingers crossed::
Cant pick just three but from this list: Caroline &Max ,2 BGs Lenoard & Sheldon, BBT Hannna,Emilyy, Aria,Spencer, PLL Brooke,Haley,Peyton, OTH Sex & the City gals Blair & Serena, Gossip Girl DH ladies My list is no paticular order
Catch up then! I don't know if you've kept up with the spoilers but season 3 takes a very interesting turn when a new recurring character is introduced.
From the list: Jack and Chloe Damon and Alaric Pater and Neal
Not on the list: Chuck and Morgan, Chuck Jeff and Lester, Chuck Shawn and Gus, Psych Mr. Finch and Mr. Reese, Person of Interest Joan and Sherlock, Elementary
I love, love, love friendships on TV shows. Too many to choose from. It is no surprise to me my favorite shows usually have characters with strong friendships.
Not necessarily in order:
Dean and Castiel - Supernatural Reese and Finch - Person of Interest Nick and Monroe - Grimm Walter and Donald - Fringe Michael and Sam - Burn Notice Pete and Myka - Warehouse 13 Claudia and Steve - Warehouse 13 Stefan and Lexi - Stefan and Caroline - TVD Damon and Alaric - TVD Snow and Grumpy - OUAT Sherlock and Watson - Sherlock Max and Alec - Dark Angel Vincent and JT - Beauty and the Beast Lucas and Haley - One Tree Hill
I've seen only a few episodes of Hawaii Five-O. I want to see it, but like you, I have too much on my plate. Hopefully when the old episodes start airing on my TV I will be able to watch.
I would have gone with Neal and Mozzie first and then Neal and Peter/Elizabeth and Mozzie but I love all the choices this poll has. When I think of TV friends, I also think of:
Scott and Stiles on Teen Wolf Michael and Sam on Burn Notice Nick and Monroe on Grimm Alec and Joshua on Dark Angel Gus and Shawn on Psych Buffy/Willow/Xander on Buffy Maria/Alex/Liz on Roswell Claudia/Steve on Warehouse 13 Veronica and Wallace - Veronica Mars Esposito and Ryan - Castle Duncan and Joe on Highlander Abed and Troy - Community Reese and Finch on Person of Interest Walter and Astrid - Fringe Lorelai/Sookie and Rory/Lane on Gilmore Girls Jack/Samantha/Daniel/Teal'c on Stargate SG-1 Clark and Chloe on Smallville
***The friendship I most want to see developed this fall:
Felicity and Diggle on Arrow - they both rock separately and I would love to see more scenes with them together.
The girls and guys - both separate genders and together as a group - on Friends and HIMYM are awesome. I just want to be a part of their groups.
When I saw this question, the friendships that popped into my mind were from Gilmore Girls; Lorelai and Sookie, Rory and Lane, and even Rory and Paris. I also love the friendship between the four Rock girls on Make It or Break It and Hannah and Grace on State of Grace. I have a lot of favorite friendships but I can't think of them all so I'll stop now.
Where's the love for Kenzibus? In Lost Girl season 1 & 2 Bo and Kenzi were the Dynamic Duo, The Fae and Human Connection, and the "Best Friend Forever/Best Fae Friend Forever" combo! No need to discuss season3 (there really is no point in discussing this disaster, again)! If no one else will I'll show Kenzibus the "Love" they deserve and represent with a "Other" vote! 4 A SOCIAL MEDIA EXPERIENCE, I am Nobody!!!
I don't agree with some of the trios...I would say, from the list, it would go Joey/Chandler (no Ross), Ted/Marshall (NO Barney), and Liz/Jack.
As for others...Clark/Chloe from Smallville, Monk/Natalie from Monk, House/Wilson from House (can't believe they aren't on the list) and, first and foremost Cory/Shawn from Boy Meets World!!!
3 is so not enough ^^ In this list I'll go for girls and guys from friends. But there's a lot of options missing ... Astrid/Walter, September/Walter and AltLincoln/Fauxlivia in Fringe Shawn/Gus in Psych (why isn't it even in the propositions above ? Maybe the longest friendship on TV) Mika/Pete and Claudia/Steeve in WH13 Reese and Finch in PoI And an oldie but a goodie : Spock/Kirk in Star Trek !
I so have to disagree with your friendship from GOT :) Arya and the Hound have no other bound than hate (Arya for the Hound) or money (the Hound for Arya), so calling this frienship is a bit too much I think ^^
Disagree. Even though it's a relationship born from an ingnorant hate, clearly neither of them truly means it. I believe they are learning an admiration for each other. Arya tends to have that effect on other people & The Hound has some ethics. He clearly doesn't like the abuse of women.
Found it so hard to choose and made it even harder when I read the comments. So many brilliant friendships. Some of my favorites are Mer/Christina - Greys, Damon/Ric - TVD, Kenzi/Bo - Lost Girl, Pete/Myka - WH13, Clark/Chole - Smallville, Sherlock/Watson - Sherlock & Elementary, House/Wilson - House, Emmett/Travis - Switched at Birth and so many many more!
I disagree the fact that you disagree :p Sure, the Hound is against the abuse of women, but I never said that he wanted to kill Arya, he is just trying to get her safely to Riverrun where he can trade her against money ... As for after the Blackwater, aye, he left King's Landing, but not for honor or justice (come on, he's Jeoffrey's hound, he says himself he doesn't care about knight's honor, he just likes killing people), but because, and I quote the book : "Even a dog gets tired of being kicked". As for Arya, I don't want to spoil anything, so wait for iiiiiiiit :)
About Snow/Ygritte, I'm not sure we can say there relationship started bad ... Well, okay he tried to kill her, but since the very beginning he refused to do it. And from the very beginning, she was into him, kinda. But I can see your point ^^
We all need to make a living! He could have just brought her back to Jeoffry and not bother to take her to Riverun at all.
I know a little about Arya's upcoming adventure and it seems like she likes to kill people too! -Another commonality, and one could argue that the faceless men's philosophies defies the honor of a knight's honor code, as the series then sets about a debate about the truth of God or the God's among many of it's characters , which then in turn is the motivation behind their actions So who's really right and wrong about honor and justice and if that even matters when 'winter's coming' remains to be seen for both TV viewers and Book readers! ;)
He could not go back to Jeoffrey, he was tired of him, so he wouldn't have gone back to King's Landing ... :) Well, I wouldn't say that she likes killing people, she rather have a strong rage and hate deep in her heart (which is totally logical, given what happened to her whole family ^^) and she needs a way to evacuate it ... In that way, I don't thing she enjoys doing it, but she has to do it not to fall into madness. I'm deeply convincted that the Hound doesn't give a crap about honor, it's said a bunch of time in the books, but we'll see when the series is back, you're right ^^ There's already some differences between the books and the show about different characters, so maybe we'll have a surprise, I must say that my interpretation of the Hound comes from the books, less from the show :)
I voted for Neal and Peter in White Collar, but my favorite is definitely Steve and Danno from Hawaii five-0! Love the bromance!!! :D (also want to mention Shawn and Gus from Psych, love them too!!)
Being "tired" of someone isn't an excuse to just quit your job, it was the fact that he could no longer tolerate Joeffry's value system, because even to the Hound, Joeffrey is disgusting. I'm not saying that we may get a full fledged best friends kind of relationship here, but I do think there is some admiration and respect, even if for whatever reason, it is short-lived.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Neal/Peter and Damon/Alaric for me :)
