Community and Mindy for me. They're the only two I've seen. As someone who just discovered Happy Endings as it was cancelled though I wish it had been on there.
Underrated in what way? Because in terms of critical support then probably Raising Hope. In terms of ratings well most of them but especially Parks and Rec which unlike the more quirky out there Community I could never really understand why it wasn't a bigger hit.
The Mindy Project. That show is hilarious and SO underrated, personally I find it a lot funnier than the likes of New Girl, which I still watch and enjoy, but Mindy just doesn't get the recognition it or she deserves! Glad the show's got a second season, hopefully with more guest stars being added by the day, more people will check it out and realise what a great show it is :)
I think it's because it has a lot of parent humor... Some people might not laugh as much at the kids because they might not have monsters of their own. Also, it has Archer humor too...obviously.
Rising hope and then Community for me. They are the only two I watch and while Freaks and Geeks was maybe undervalued when it aired, it certainly isn't now.
Parks and Community for me. I was only recently recommended P&R by a friend recently, and caught up with all 5 seasons in about a week it was so good. Couldn't believe I hadn't heard much about it previously.
Parks and Rec. It's so clever, but nobody I talk to seems to know about it, but everybody watches TBBT. I'm glad at least that Amy Poehler's work has been recognized with nominations, if not Emmys. You've all convinced me, I have to watch Bob's Burgers.
I don't think voting Community is fair, because it does have a strong fanbase that's very vocal, and it really hasn't been snubbed by awards and it's sort of a critics darling . That's more than other really underrated shows have.
So that's why my vote goes to Archer, even if I believe that Community is better. Archer has that quick humor, lot of callbacks and amazing character interactions on a incredibly bizarre "The Office" workspace.
Not a fan of sitcoms so couldn't vote today... Have heard good things about Freaks and Geeks and Community but I guess I'm more into drama with dark humor or humor in the crazy situation than just saying things that have no effect past the end of the episode. I do watch Baby Daddy and Melissa and Joey but those are my summer shows.
Just watched Freaks and Geeks for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I don't get why it got cancelled, but it was a wonderful show. Also I love Community.
Raising Hope was so underrated until this last season. This last season had a few funny episodes but was mostly pretty blah which is a shame. Happy Endings was way underrated though, the networks handling of the show left a lot to be desired. You never knew when it would be on because they kept moving it, then they tried showing it twice a week which was horrible for the show, bad advertising, and I think the title hurt the show. People didn't really know what it was about. But it was also smart and very random, which may have gone over a lot of heads.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I only watch Community and Archer so voted for them.
ReplyDeleteBob's Burgers is getting nowhere near the attention it deserves. It was probably my favorite comedy of the last TV season.
ReplyDeleteCommunity and Archer by far
ReplyDeleteBob's Burgers. OMG, Bob's Burgers. That show changed my life.
ReplyDeleteRaising Hope by far. This and Wilfred are the only comedies currently on my watchlist.

ReplyDeleteH. Jon Benjamin is just one of the most underrated people in Holywood
ReplyDeleteParks and Community
ReplyDeleteCommunity is the only one I watch but I think it is vastly underrated so it was an easy vote
ReplyDeleteRaising Hope!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Parks and Recreation, and I think The Mindy Project is very underrated too.

ReplyDeleteCan I have 'Other' and say Happy Endings. I'm still so sad that it was cancelled. Also, Community but mostly s1-2.
ReplyDeleteCommunity and Parks... They are the two best sitcoms on tv...
ReplyDeleteParks and Rec

ReplyDeleteCurrently: Community and Raising Hope.
ReplyDelete(Mindy's cute but "meh"...)
Canceled: Freaks and Geeks
Raising Hope for sure
ReplyDeleteParks and Community for me, I do like Mindy as well, but haven't watched any of the others
ReplyDeleteRaising Hope would be cool if it wasn't for that house, which i can't watch because of my clean freak nature.
