Wait, Jason makes more than NPH? That's surprising.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, Mark Harmon's salary for the entire season. Damn, that's a lot.
I always think these numbers are interesting. Not surprising at all that Mark Harmon makes so much. NCIS is great. Interesting how much of a difference between Kutcher and Segel since both shows are so successful.
ReplyDeleteAny chance there's a list with more actors? I'm curious what some other TV top stars make.
ReplyDeleteIf you click the link it tells you that the full list will be published in TV Guide magazine
ReplyDeleteTatiana Maslany deserve even more
ReplyDeleteI don't think the list tells us that Jason makes more than NPH. It just tells us how much Jason makes without telling us how much NPH does.
ReplyDeleteJudge Judy! 47 million, really? That is horrible to me and people out there are starving to death!
ReplyDeleteShe'll be making more don't worry about her.And really,50,000 per episode is nothing to sneeze at..
ReplyDeleteThe list seems to be incomplete. For example I can't believe that only four actors from drama series earn more than 100 thousand per episode.
ReplyDeleteIt is, the rest will be in the TVGuide magazine.
ReplyDeleteGood point.
ReplyDeleteOne thinks that actors make too much money and then reads what reality show presenters are making and it is just ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteAshton Kutcher's salary is also really ridiculous based on his talend (or lack thereof) and the quality (or lack thereof) the show he stars in. It's like paying someone big bucks to make sexist remarks while half naked, act doofy and make fart jokes.
It is a f*cked up world when Ashton Kutcher makes more money than Robin Williams.
I'd gladly take 50,000 per episode :P
ReplyDeleteThese are not the top 5 in each category, these are just random actors from the categories.
ReplyDeleteAshton is on a hit show that does well in ratings in the US and across the world, it makes money via syndication and DVD sales as well as ad sales. Robin Williams salary per episode is based on a show that hasnt even aired yet. I would imagine if The Crazy Ones is a hit then Robins salary will reflect that.
ReplyDeleteI think this is just a snap shot and not even of the highest earners, for instance I think a couple of years ago it was reported that Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles of Supernatural on CW were getting 125,000 dollars an episode, they're probably on more than that now.
ReplyDeleteThere are just some of the actors from the categories, not the highest paid actors. The full list will be printed in the magazine.
ReplyDeleteOf course I know all this information, I am not saying that I don't understand why he makes more money, I am just saying how f*cked up it is that a person with so little talent (Kelso, ahem, Kutcher) ends up making more money than a well known actor (Williams), who is not only gifted as an actor, but also as a comedian and a voice actor and has been for over 30 years in the business.
ReplyDeleteUnderstanding something is very different from finding it fair and/or being schocked by it.
Last year Neil made $210k per episode, don't know about this year.
ReplyDeleteHonestly,i think very few actors should be making this kind of money. Some of these salaries are obscene!
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I think it is realy messed up, even though I love the work of so many of them.
ReplyDeleteI think that when people are privileged/fortunate enough to have a good home, nice clothes and food on their tables they have a duty towards other human beings to try to help and share if and what I can. I wish these really privileged people would help more in proportion to what they make, but most of the people I see actually helping others with goods and money (not just publicity) are the people that really don
Lauren Graham makes 120.000 on Parenthood... There are many missing.
ReplyDeleteMark Harmon and Ashton Kutcher are grossly overpaid, while Peter Dinklage and Tatiana Maslany are absurdly underpaid.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair The Crazy Ones is just starting up. It goes well I have a feeling that come S5-ish Robin William's salary will be quite handsome.... possibly way handsomer-er that Ashton's at the moment....
ReplyDeleteI had assumed, but thanks for the confirmation!
ReplyDeleteMark Harmon's salary reflects his tenure on the show.... when NCIS was 1 and 3 years in I'm sure he didn't make that much more than either Tatiana or Peter. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if back then, he made less....
ReplyDeleteAshton is overpaid, I agree, but considering the circumstances that got him on the show, I understand the reason why they tend to offer him that much... even though he doesn't deserve it.
Let us all take a moment to remember the time before Mark Harmon was super famous (and rich) and did TWW. Those were the good days.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's absurd how much money Ashton Kutcher is making, considering how awful the show has been ever since he started doing it.
Mark is also an executive producer on the show.
ReplyDeleteYep,their are a lot of people that have lost it all.Unless one experiences what it is like to not have a place to call home.or have money to buy a burger,or a change of clothing,or transportation to seek help.To not have a place to sleep at night, well, its hard to imagine, its hard to even try to explain how it feels, how it makes you feel.Sure people who are well off could do more, but so can people who are making 50,000 a yr.or less.I could go on,but won't...
ReplyDeleteAh fair enough on Mark and how long he's been there. I guess I was just thinking in terms of raw talent which Peter and Tatiana just exhume constantly.
ReplyDeleteWell, I know, but I still think it is messed up :/
ReplyDeleteThat's the same year they did the 2 parter on JAG for the spin off of NCIS.
ReplyDeleteClaire Danes deserves it. I wonder how much Bryan Cranston was making for Breaking Bad...
ReplyDelete*slowly raises hand* What does '+ points' mean?
ReplyDeletewhat about mariska hargitay? She makes around 375 k per episode! This thing is completely wrong, there are so many actresses that make more than Claire Danes.
ReplyDeletePoints are a percentage of the revenue that a series earns.
ReplyDeleteIf NPH made more than Jason he would be on the list above him.
ReplyDeleteI don't think we're suppose to see it as a top 5.
ReplyDeleteThis list seems to be leaving people out, like Michael C Hall at $300,000 an ep for Dexter. http://www.dexterdaily.com/2013/08/tvs-highest-paid-stars-michael-c-hall.html
ReplyDeleteNo. For instance, there are a lot of actors that will make more than Tatiana Maslany ($50,000) but less than Peter Dinklage ($150,000), they just picked people from each level to represent it. The title of the article is misleading
ReplyDeleteIt's not the full list. The full list will be published in the magazine.
ReplyDelete225k per episode
ReplyDeleteI believe Mark Harmon is actually quite talented, way more than what people tend to give him credit for, but yeah, he's definitely nowhere near Peter and Tatiana.
ReplyDeleteNot really. Objectively, for a freshman show, I think Robin Williams is getting more than 150.000 exactly because he's Robin Williams... so in business terms I think Mr.Williams' name, experience, expertise and talent are absolutely factored in there.
ReplyDeleteJust think about it, though. If these people don't get that much money, the network will take the difference. It's not like the networks will suddenly start throwing money left and right to help people (except from whatever charities they already do).
ReplyDeletePersonally, I believe that someone who brings in money should get paid what they're worth. And if these people are good people, they should help those less fortunate. I know some of them do.
This list does not contain the top 5, rather it list random 5 actors for the categories.
ReplyDeleteYep. I always wonder if TWW had anything to do with him getting the role, tbh.
