The SpoilerTV Favourite TV Series Competition 2013 - Day 22 - Round 2 - Castle vs. Scandal & Alias vs. Angel
Sep 1, 2013
2013 TV Series Competition Cancelled Shows Castle ScandalHi folks,
Yesterday saw a fantastic battle between Hannibal and Bones which saw the former win by 19 votes. It was a cracking poll, where Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller tweeted out the poll and maybe made the crucial difference at the death. We also saw The Office plummet out of the competition, losing to Fringe in a poll where there was only ever going to be one winner.
Today sees the winner of last years competition, Castle, take on one show which has seen a massive increase in popularity between season one and two, Scandal. We also have a battle between J.J.Abrams' Alias and Joss Whedon's Angel, in todays second poll. Both have a large online fan base, and should make for an exciting battle.
For anyone who missed the rules, here they are again:
1) Two shows will go into battle in a poll, where after exactly 24 hours, the leading show will win the battle and will progress into the next round.
2) Vote for you favourite, spread the word with your friends & fans.
3) Comment on what you voted for on in the comments below.
4) Have fun. This is a friendly & competitive competition.

I thought it worth noting that I am aware I've been a little slow at getting the next poll onto the site (this poll is a good example of this :-P), but instead of quizzing DarkUFO, drop me a tweet or an email @AdDHarris or adamdharris@spoilertv.com and I'll let you know instead!
Here we go,

Castle :D
ReplyDeleteScandal and Alias.
ReplyDeleteNever seen either show in the first poll, but dont want the same winner twice in a row.
As for the second, Alias is by far the more superior show.
Angel for me though I do love Alias. Don't watch Castle or Scandal.
ReplyDeleteOnly Castle for me in this round. :)
ReplyDeleteCastle, obviously; and Angel.
ReplyDeleteCastle.
ReplyDeleteThe chances of Castle not winning are pretty slim, but I still voted for Scandal.
ReplyDeleteScandal and Alias FTW!!!
ReplyDeleteCastle & Alias
ReplyDeleteCastle and Angel
ReplyDeleteCastle :D
ReplyDeletethis is soooooooooooo mean can I vote for all 4 plz
ReplyDeleteThat´s pretty easy for me, of course it´s Castle and for the second I have to go with Angel, just loved that one when I was young.
ReplyDeleteCastle and Angel.:-)
ReplyDeleteNow this girl knew how to kick ass Jenifer Garner in ALIAS! was my choice
ReplyDeleteand have to go with Castle.Love Nathan Fillion!
Castle (even though Scandal is actually very good) and Alias.
ReplyDeleteCastle forever!
ReplyDeleteGO CASTLE!!!!
ReplyDeleteFirst poll easy, Castle all the way:)
ReplyDeleteSecond poll, never saw Angel, saw a few Alias episodes, so voted for it...
Castle was a fairly easy choice but in the second poll it was almost impossible for me to pick one as i love them both. I ended up choosing Angel because i loved the finale and the last season generally while i hated how Alias concluded...
ReplyDeleteAngel. Alias was entertaining, but nothing special.
ReplyDeleteScandal and Angel for me today.
ReplyDeleteScandal has a much more complex story and the acting is definitely better than Castle's. But of course Castle is leading this poll...
ReplyDeleteCastle & Alias!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree about the much more complex story, but not the acting; actually, one of the things I enjoy less in Scandal is the acting.
ReplyDeleteCastle's acting is more than brillant, nothing to compare with Scandal's.
ReplyDeleteAlias was certainly enjoyable, but looking both shows as a whole, Angel was much more cohesive.
ReplyDeleteScandal veers so frequently into soapy thriller category that I have to vote for Castle, who at least it's much more self aware yet still being emotionally honest.
Scandal is one of my favorite shows on TV. It is incredibly addictive and well done, I just adore it, it gets my easy vote. I have watched every Castle episode there is, and it is a good, okay procedural, but it is, IMO, tremendously overrated on this site. I have never watched any of the other two shows.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch any of the shows today, but I've been planning to watch Scandal and Alias at some point so I vote for them - they just interest me more than the other options.
ReplyDeleteCastle is the greatest.
ReplyDeleteCASTLE!!!!! AMO A CASTLE!!!
ReplyDeleteFirst easy..Castle
ReplyDeleteSecond was harder for me, loved Alias, but went with Angel because my first vampire love was in it..SPIKE.
I know Castle is going to win this round...and I love the show. But Scandal makes me rush to watch it. Castle is comfortable. So I picked Scandal.
ReplyDeleteAngel vs Alias - picked Angel. Loved Alias for 3 seasons. Loved Angel for its entire run. Angel gets my vote.
castle and angel.
ReplyDeleteeasy one: Castle, and then a tough one: Angel get the nod
ReplyDelete1st Poll: I love Scandal, so that was an easy vote.
ReplyDelete2nd Poll: No vote since I didn't watch either show.
Castle and Alias.
ReplyDeleteCastle and Alias.
ReplyDeleteSame here. :)
ReplyDeletealways Castle <3
ReplyDeletecastle and alias for meeee :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I posted the link to Whedonesque.com and things are looking up for Angel. lol
ReplyDeletePicked Scandal over Castle as it has become one of my favourite shows of 2012-2013
ReplyDeletePicked Alias as I haven't watched Angel yet
Yep, I did my part by reppin' for TEAM ANGEL!
ReplyDeleteScandal and Angel!
ReplyDeleteYou're clearly not watching Castle, if you're saying something like that on the acting part. I agree with the complex story, though.
ReplyDeleteI actually like nathan fillion's interpretation of the Castle character; the role is not very complex, but still has its nuances, and I think he plays it well enough to make it credible. Of course he is pretty much playing himself, but that's another story. As to the becket character, stana katic's interpretation is tiresome! She ALWAYS uses the same voice inflexion in every single sentence; I don't think she gives a fluid natural tone to the conversations and it feels very artificial.
ReplyDeleteI like castle's mother and daughter, though, but those secondary characters barely have any screen time.
Now, if you consider the complexity of emotions and the wide range of expressions that every character of scandal has to portray...Of course some of them are also not very good actors, but as the screen time is much more balanced between them, those bad moments tend to be more diluted, so to speak.
next poll?
