    If they're going to build this show as a mob war scenario I hope The Originals adds some interesting supporting characters on Marcel's side because it doesn't seem like the show has given him any yet.

    I'm a little concerned with how they will make Marcel and his merry band real opponents to Klaus, Elijah, and Rebekah. Elijah snuffed out 2 of Marcel's guys in the alley like he was crushing out cigarettes on the bottom of his Armani shoe. So yeah, they better pump up Marcel's supporting characters as well as the reason why someone can't just kill Marcel and be done with it ("Enough already, if you want Marcel dead, he's dead. I'll do it myself," so said Elijah).

    There's a reason why Klaus can't just take Marcel out and it has something to do with the witches and their plan, as Sophie mentioned in the backdoor pilot. They just didn't get around to saying exactly what that reason was. When they do explain it, there had better be a damn good (believable) reason.

    That was totally the best part of the "pilot." Elijah has been polite for too long. They could go around mercilessly killing people people for at least a season before I get bored.

    Agreed. It has to make sense. Such as...Marcel is connected to all of the witches somehow and killing him, kills them. Something along those lines. If not: Elijah. Alley. Heart ripping. STAT.

    I do miss "scary Elijah." The Elijah that threw pocket change through a coffee shop window and sent everyone fleeing in terror was a fun character. Somewhere along the line he became a preachy stuffed shirt who constantly brought up honor and morals yet had an extremely difficult time keeping his word.
