this season is going to be so intense. But I really hope Alicia ends it with Peter somehow. Anyway, the best part of the show for me are the politics and that will be high focused this season, so I am eager for this
Honestly, the marriage in itself is not even what bugs me. Ships aside, the problem is consistency. Peter is a politician. He cheated on his wife and paid the price for it (not only personally, but politically). Say what you will, but he is not a stupid person, so how can he make such a dumb move as cheat on her AGAIN?! If I were Alicia, I'd be pissed, but if I were Eli, I'd be FURIOUS. And being the audience, I'd only swallow it if the writers gave me a pretty good explanation.
I'm not bringing ships into this. This is about Peter and Alicia and their relationship alone. I'm keeping Will out of it!
To me they simply have such an unhealthy relationship that lacks trust on every level, that just reflects so badly on both of them, that they keep on trying to make this work.... it just can't, this is fact. And it's gotten frustrating to watch them do this back and forth all the time.
I agree with you though, that if he cheats, Eli should just rip him a new one!
I don't know. Maybe he'll get more screentime but I fear that he won't get better storylines and that he'll end up being used like a tool in that "civil war" plot without any consistent time and scripts devoted to his own development and storyarc. After what they have done with him last season I don't think those writers are able to give the character those things.
While I am way more optimistic than you are about his future in the show, I cannot honestly try to counter argument against your fears because they may very well happen judging by how he was treated in the past. I guess we just have to wait and see.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
If Peter cheats on Alicia, so help me god.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, a good promo overall.
I'm gonna be the happiest person in this world if Peter cheat on Alicia. I want Alicia to understand: once a cheater, ALWAYS a cheater.
ReplyDeleteCannot wait!! Florrick, Agos & Associates ! .. hopefully this means more of a storyline for Cary this season :)

ReplyDeleteGood! That means The Mentalist Season 6 Promo will arrive soon :D
ReplyDeleteI would be shocked if he wasn't more prominent this season.
ReplyDeleteYou know he will.... at least I'm hoping that will FINALLY END that fiasco of a marriage...
ReplyDeleteLooks soooooooo good!

ReplyDeleteReally, why? Him and Alicia starting their own firm surely has to result in more screen time for him
