Underwood, who is currently appearing in Dexter ‘s final season as a protégé of Michael C. Hall’s titular vigilante, will play Luke, a very complicated and dangerous young man who may or may not be a follower of the “late” Joe Carroll.

He's supposed to be the big baddie of S2, so I'll doubt he's gonna die after 5 episodes.
Adan Canto was a series regular too last season and he was in just 5 or 6 episodes. And he was not the first regular in a Kevin Williamson show that died within the first few episodes...
