  3. the title of a 1978 Warren Beatty film about a high school footballer who dies in a car accident and sent back to earth in the body of a millionaire

  4. The Iron Maiden song 'Heaven Can wait' is loosely based on the film, about a man who can not seem to dies

  5. Since there are no more angels in heaven, maybe this will showcase some of the people we didn't get to see in Dark Side of the Moon. Bring on Ellen and Jo.

  6. huh...what if the way Sam heals or the way he is starting to change like Jared said is going to is making him immortal??

  8. Egads I hope not. Then there would be absolutely no tension whenever he got into a sticky situation.

The 1941 movie, 'Here Comes Mr Jordan' was the first followed by the 1978 film. Both are good. It's the perfect plot for Supernatural.

  10. Slight correction - the Warren Beatty movie title is "Heaven *Can* Wait", not "Can't" like the episode title. Still it's a very cool title. I wonder more if it will concern HumanCas/other angels attempting to get back into Heaven. Another RS/JC spoiler said Metatron will show up near the fall finale break and as he is "lonely" picks select angels to rejoin him in Heaven. I don't know "how Metatron does this" but maybe it's a piece of the key to all the angels going home.

  11. Thanks for the title, now I want to watch the movie. Ha. I haven't seen a lot of 70's and 80's movies but always looking out for good ones.

  12. You're welcome. Both movie summaries are on IMDB and Wiki. I don't think I've ever seen "Here comes Mr. Jordon" but the movie premises are virtually identical which is not true of all remakes. "HCW" has "as feel good as can be" ending" and it's the Warren Beatty movie I like the most.
The context of both movies is that an athlete is put in a situation where he faces *almost* certain death and his overeager "guardian angel" takes his soul (Reaper-like on SPN) to Heaven prematurely to save the athlete's mortal body from the pain of a horrible death. In the SPN -verse Metatron cast out all the angels "prematurely"; that's kind of makes my theory make *a small degree of sense*, i.e., it could be reversal of the movies' premise.

Heaven loses its patience? lol. This season appears to be solely about angels acting out but it makes me wonder the whole of heaven without getting religious here. I wonder if Joshua would come back?. Great title!.

  15. Good title with all the Angels running around.

  16. Immortality would be a great subject to tackle since it has a big downside to it too. I just have no faith that this bunch of writers could pull it off.

The boys are already immortal to a degree since they don't stay dead for long.

I could see it as an endgame but still don't think it belongs here.

  17. I agree there is not much tension when it comes to the brothers in tense situations but I still think immortality would be a horrible idea. The brothers need to stay as close to human as possible.
