    I do, Castiel is awesome. I don't ship Destiel romantically, I like the dynamic they have as a kind of Brotp, but I like Castiel as a character overall.

    They have both been reduced to pussy-cats.
    I want my smart, capable ,bad-ass, monster killing brothers back ,although I'm aware that those brothers no longer exist under Carver's reign of bad, infantile OOC writing!

    As for the other title, Edlund may have left but his immature humour lives on!
    Even if they do change the name; 'Doggie Style' is just such a horrible title to come up with even temporarily.


    'Man's Best Friend With Benefits' ,when the title was first revealed, made nearly everyone think the same thing and when the episode did air, it was even worse than one thought.


    A dog-woman who is made to keep her collar while human. Really!


    I don't know who wrote that ep., but they'll probably give it to the same writer, as they already have experience of dogs!
    Poor Supernatural, in the hands of these inadequate writers!

    I don't believe they learned anything from last season at all unfortunately.

    The writers all come over as arrogant and convinced their wishy-washy vision for SPN is the right one.


    I dislike the idea of writers being influenced by fans in any way ,but they do have to make a better effort into producing a thrilling, logical enticing show; not just throwing together any old script and thinking fans will love it just because we get a gllipse of Sam and Dean, or Carver throws in a 'brother moment', to compensate for his mistakes.

    Singer candidly admitted that not even his wife who is a writer for SPN could answer questions about canon. Well all she and the others have to do is spend some time studying the show's past and come up with good answers.

    It's their duty as professionals and it's only fair towards the show and the fans who spend time and money following it.

    We're saying the same thing here. I do NOT want the writers to be influenced by fans in any way, and to follow their creative vein; but that doesn't mean they can throw down any old mediocre writing, which in my opinion they did in season eight.

    Just to throw in my own two cents.

    For me the brothers have a deep, emotional, caring bond, and due to the solitary life-style and 'hunting' upbringing they had, are very-codependent. It's what fascinates me about them.

    For me that's it though. Wincest does NOT come into the equation at all.

    However, all the writers from the first moment, have been guilty of throwing in gratuitous wincest nods and jokes, including Carver.

    I agree, BUT that does not mean they should not have to follow the shows canon, which they made a mess of last season. I read very few complaints of season 8 that was not about that very thing.

    They don't just exist unfortunately...There's just too many of them!!!I mean the majority of fanifcs are wincest,destiel and WINCESTIEL.Yes there is Wincestiel as well.For example,it has happened so many times to me that I want to read a good fanfic and it starts so well but then you read about Cas kissing Dean or Dean having sex with Sam.I MEAN REALLY?!?!WTF IS WRONG in some people's heads?!

    It's when the shippers start demanding their ship to be Canon and offend people who don't share their views that it's a problem for me. A huge problem. And disrespectful as well, IMO.

    I think Wincest is disgusting. The idea of Sam and Dean having sex is truly nauseating to me so I skip right past those fics. I don't get it; however, if others want to read it, go right ahead.
    I don't get Destiel either. I'm one of those viewers who has genuinely NEVER gotten a romantic or sexual vibe from ANY Dean/Castiel scene . . . -EVER. Haha! As Elena said, Dean is not gay or bisexual. And from all the times we've seen Cas "lose his mind," he's always managed to find himself a WIFE so even if he has sexual feelings, I don't believe they would be for men. He was also clearly into Meg. Anyway, I agree that these slash pairings need to stay in the fandom.
