Production
on TNT’s hit drama Rizzoli &
Isles has been shut down in
light of the sudden passing of
co-star Lee Thompson Young
whose body was discovered in
his apartment after he failed to
show up for work this morning.
The producers of the series, in which Thompson
played star Angie Harmon’s partner on the force,
are currently evaluating whether to resume
production tomorrow or go on hiatus while the
cast and crew cope with Young’s death and
writers figure out how to write off his character.

That doesn't surprise me. I'm not sure how anyone could continue working after this news.
ReplyDeleteGod, I'm so sad.
So sad...
ReplyDeletethis is super sad..... not surprised they are shutting down today, its expected. Cant begin to imagine how this rocks a cast and crew. Granted we had a bit of insight with the Cory Monteith death last month. Just hope they ralley around each other and Lee's family for support in this tough time.
ReplyDeleteThat is so very sad.
ReplyDeleteThat is so very sad
ReplyDeleteI still just cannot wrap my head around that.
ReplyDeleteWhat...oh,no!This one really hurts. I LOVE him on Rizzoli & Isles. It hurts my heart that these young people are in so much pain and have no hope for tomorrow. Absolutely sad!
ReplyDeleteI hope he's at peace, and I hope other people realize that suicide is
the last choice you'll ever have the chance to make.
I've been a fan of his for a while. He was great as Jett Jackson, Cyborg on Smallville, and I loved him on Rizzoli (from what little I"ve seen of the show.)
ReplyDeleteRIP
Shocking, tragic news. I remember him from Scrubs and FlashForward, liked him on both shows.
ReplyDeleteHow sad especially considering how young he was and the likely cause. A hiatus is probably the best solution
ReplyDeleteI don't watch the show but I remember him from Scrubs. Decent actor, fun to watch. My condolences to his family and friends.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea Lee Thompson Young was currently working, this is really sad. It makes it even sadder (and sadly ironic) that just two weeks ago I found a DVD set of The Famous Jett Jackson, which is where I know him from. It was the first original drama series on Disney Channel and I have fond movies of it and him.
ReplyDeleteRIP
I had no idea Famous Jett Jackson was on DVD, but I want it now. I loved that show so much!
ReplyDeleteSo sad that he felt he had to end his life this way. I wonder what pushed him over the edge. He was an excellent actor and was good on that show with a decent part. You just never know what is going on in their minds- sad
ReplyDeleteI think the movie was released officially but this was just more like a bootleg, it was only 10 dollars though, because i requested dvd cases with it. But fantastic quality. Found So Weird too.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping Disney will choose to somehow capitalize on their late 90s/early 00's series by releasing them on iTunes/Amazon/Play or DVD releases, I've sent dozens of e-mails about it.
Same! I love Disney's old shows, like Famous Jett Jackson and So Weird (and others) and they need to be on DVD.
ReplyDeleteSo, so sad.Beyond belief. My prayers are with family and friends of this too soon taken young man.He always appeared such a gentle soul. May he rest in eternal peace.Amen.
ReplyDeleteThis is incredibly sad.I don't watch the show that often but i always liked him in it..My prayers are with his family.
ReplyDeleteSo sad to learn about his death. I haven't watched Rizzoli and Isles in awhile but I've always liked him and his character. RIP
ReplyDeleteTotally understandable to take a break... So sad.....
ReplyDeleteGood plan. It's such a loss.
ReplyDeleteomg just...wow. i used to love the Famous Jett Jackson, and liked him in what i saw of his newer show. i don't even know what i'm trying to say...my love and support to his family and friends...they will need it:(
ReplyDeleteWhat a horrible tragedy. He was such a gorgeous man — beautiful eyes! — and I really liked him as Det. Frost on R&I. I think the cast & crew deserve some time off to deal with this; suicide is always hard to comprehend.
ReplyDeleteRIP, Lee Thompson Young. Condolences to his family & friends.
A sad and tragic event. They should have shut down production today, and think seriously about taking a break so that the cast can come to terms with Young's passing. I did not know him before R&I, but he appeared to be a genuine nice and lovable guy. He will truly be missed.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it...
ReplyDeleteGod on my birthday .. ;( the worst birthday in my life ..
