    Supposedly its to do with this 'curse' or whatever, which is stupid because there is nothing that Caleb loves more than Hanna, now add that to the fact someone is trying to kill/hurt her and frame her mom for murdering a cop.. I have no idea why he would stay, or why the writers left it this long to address the fact he is leaving.

    Agree, they should have had caleb and Hanna split at the start of season 4 and had the audience get used to them being apart.
