1. I'm glad Ollie's dead. 2. I'm glad Joe and Norrie are still together. 3. I wish Julia's vision were of Peter saying, "That guy you're sleeping with killed me." I mean, that's gotta be resolved.
Whoa, I am so intrigued now, with the whole 'the monarch will be crowned' and the butterfly tattoo on Angie's shoulder. Its got to mean something right? So glad Ollie's dead and they dint drag his storyline much. Dint think Junior would kill him though.
I thought the "monarch will be crowned" line was the most intriguing part of this episode too. I hadn't seen the tattoo of the monarch butterfly on Angie's shoulder until now, but I missed quite a few of the earlier episodes. Did they ever mention how she got it?
Haha so in the books the situation was Angie dead early aka book is short and to the point and well done.
Now the situation is Angie not dead hmm, lets add her to the grand mythology make her the Monarch and make the series go longer.
Well I'm all for the latter, since I just want more things to watch and I'm not to biased with extending of the plot of adaptations since I can look at both ways 2 separate or a well adaptation. which ever is fine by me.
Ollie dead O-yea. got that out of the way.
Also I kinda felt like the answer-y part of the Dome should have only responded to the Joe and Norrie possibly Angie now. rather then involve the Adults in that zone. let Julia and Barbie handle the grander role of getting things right in the town.
Kylie. if you think Richard`s bl0g is impressive... last tuesday I got BMW 5-series from having made $4822 this past four weeks and just a little over ten-k this past-month. with-out any question its the nicest work Ive ever had. I began this 10-months ago and pretty much immediately started bringing in over $75 per-hour. I follow the details on this straightforward website,,Exit35.comCHECK_)IT__OUT,,*
Best episode so far, imo. - The townspeople finally dealt with the possibility of the dome being there forever and we also learned some new things about the dome.
- The monarch will be crowned. Back in episode 1.05 there was a whole swarm of monarch butterflies at the dome and then there was a single one flying around when Barbie was digging Alice's grave, and then there's Angie's butterfly tattoo. I guess it only makes sense for Angie to be included in the mythology since she is the sister of Joe who is one of the star-crossed lovers chosen by the dome. Whatever is in the egg, it won't be very long until it hatches.
- Ollie is dead. But now there's a feud brawling between Evil Jim and Barbie. That should be interesting to watch. And Evil Jim calling Ollie power hungry? Takes one to know one, I guess.
- Was I the only who was confused when Evil Jim wanted to confiscate Ollie's property because the law allowed him to do so? You'd think after the riot at the store they would be aware that nobody really abides to the law anymore.
I loved it! One of the best episodes so far! I love how they keep surprising me in every single episode. Can't express how happy I was when Joe and Norrie got back together, I love their characters and their relationship haha!
Concerning your last sentence, I think that in any dramatic situation people always try to reason with each other first, and if that doesn't work, then use another plan. The same way police doesn't just blast hostage takers in the face with guns since civilians can be killed, you always first try to reason with them. That's just an example, though, but I completely understood why they were at least trying it.
So Angie is 'the monarch", or at least she is the girl with the monarch butterfly tattoo. No idea how she "will be crowned" though. So glad Ollie is dead, I knew he was a goner. Jim vs. Barbie, that's gotta be interesting.
Also, was I the only one how found it weird when Julia called Barbie "honey"?
I thought her use of "honey" was an attempt at dry humor. "How was your day honey" is sometimes used sarcastically when people are trying to imitate a "normal" couple talking about their "normal" problems. But they're not a normal couple and It's clear to both of them that their life is anything but normal, which is why it was a loaded statement.
I haven't read the book but I'm definitely curious to know how similar this show is to the book (without getting any spoilers!). I wouldn't be surprised if they completely changed the explanation for the dome in order to preserve the element of surprise, though. Was the "monarch" stuff even part of the book??
That the "monarch will be crowned" reference is to Angie makes me think back to Junior's telling Angie that he was trapping her in order to protect her. Junior's explanation was that she was sick and needed to get better, but I wonder if he has some intuition about the dome's intentions.
nope not at all I like the series but doesn't follow the book much at all ex joe and angie aren't brother and sister and the pink stars falling are totally different
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Whoa, this is the first time I can say this show was truly amazing. Tonight rocked it in all the right places.

I'm glad Ollie is dead, i just wish Big Jim would have died as well.
ReplyDeleteI also was hoping that Linda was going to lock Junior in that cell and leave him there.

The fact that Ollie as offed was easily the highlight of the episode.
ReplyDeleteOther nice scenes: Barbie/Jim staredown in the end, and Norrie and Angie throwing the snow-globes at the dome.
Also is Angie like a saviour of sorts? Cause that would be a doozy....
Overall I'd rank about the same place as last week....

No they did not focus on it till now, also she was trapped by Junior for the first 4 episodes anyway.

ReplyDeleteThey're gonna milk the romance between Barbie & Julia to make sure once his secret comes out it is really dramatic.

ReplyDeleteam i the only one who likes the book way more???? anyway the series is great but way off from the book

ReplyDeleteJust downloaded UTD to my Kindle.

ReplyDeleteOh I never thought of that, always thought Junior's insane.
ReplyDeleteJunior might well end up being the hero of Chester's Mill.
