I may be downvoted like fuck here, but I'm going to say it anyway. I just don't find this show entertaining anymore. I was so in love with this show in its 1st season, but now it feels like season 1 and season 2 are two completely different shows for me. We are barely actually IN the newsroom (which is the title of the show) anymore, and we follow Maggie in a foreign country, Jim on his presidential candidate mission, and the show seems to have spiraled out of its original ways. I think the editing the show has is borderline terrible (they actually CUT in the middle of a sentence in the "Previously on..." segment) and the storylines simply aren't entertaining ("Can I have 30 minutes with the candidate?" has been repeated, what, 15 times already in 4 episodes?)
I watched the first 15 mins of this episode, before I simply couldn't do it anymore. Sigh...
I do agree with you that the episodes have left the actual newsroom (which looks to be returning next episode) but I think this episode was one of the best episodes of the newsroom to date. Maybe watch next week where it is back in the newsroom?
I do miss seeing Will on the air and everything that's behind it and I do agree with what you said regarding the first two episodes but in this one some things really started to make sense and I hope passing this piont they will keep it up. I think you should give them a shot at finishing the explanation of what happened with the Genoa thing, I really believe it might be worth your while. For me at least it's allways worth it to listen to some of the brilliant dialogues.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
The last scene was so sad
