as an episode, it was amazing! as a series finale? not so much. It would have been a great jumping off point to lead into a final season.... I dont understand why this got canceled.. what else do they have thats been tried and tested? Da Vincis Demons... and nothing else. I'll take what I can get, and I do like the idea that what exactly happens to the characters is left up to the viewer to decide... but it was such a great show, i think it deserved a bit more closure than this.... if they knew this was going to be the end, and surely they must have known for some time now, i wish they would have at least done some sort of epilogue.... farewell, Magic City.. sorry to see you go like this.
This was a good episode. Good show. It looked like it was going to get very interesting -- Meg would have made a wonderful insidious adversary. You already saw some of the results of Ike's sacrifices. Both his sons are distancing themselves from him and his wife is certainly feeling neglected/ignored. Meg is in the mix and obviously has some kind of agenda in mind despite what she says.
And Diamond isn't dead.
But it's over. Perhaps victimized by our modern sensibilities -- huge explosions, stuff flying all over the place, yelling, shouting, fast fast fast fast, "story? what story?".
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
