What I love about this show is that it really knows how to play the Dramedy card, e. g. Evelyn breaking down in tears over a broken vacuum cleaner and seconds later lamenting about being lonely and childless.
I also loved that the ladies were interacting again, as opposed to last week's episode where each had their own storyline.
Carmen and Sam officially became a couple but broke up just as fast. For me, Carmen came on too strong, telling Sam to be ambitious. I don't really agree with Carmen about having to aspire to greatness. You can live a normal, ordinary without really achieving anything great and still be happy with your life. Best example: Bertha the Butcher.
Valentina mistaking cocaine with detergent was hilarious and it forced Remi to come clean. Valentina did the right thing by telling her mother about it, once again, we get to see that Zoila isn't just a maid. She remembers when Remi learned how to ride the bike, she remembers how he had to take care of his mother and that he had nobody to rely on. I expect to big apology from him to Zoila because telling her she's just "the housekeeper" when she clearly is part of the family was just mean.
Rosie & Marisol came head to head when Rosie finds out the truth about Marisol but ultimately understood where she's coming from, as she has a son herself. It was such a sweet moment when they were bonding over their sons.
I really do love this show. Agree, LittleDreamer, about Evelyn. Totally love her crazy and have those moments of pity for her as well. Rosie is so freakin great! By far my favourite.
The only thorn in my side is Sam. He is so not believable as a straight guy at all. It ruins all Carmens scenes for me. He'd be a great gay buddy for her to help her achieve her music dreams but as a love interest, he's pathetic. Last night everything he did reminded me of... well, me!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

I'm glad that Rosie and Marisol didn't let this go on for longer I'm glad they are still friends and they understand each other because of their sons.
ReplyDelete"My vacuum cleaner broke" haha so sad but so funny too. What a great show!
