Yeah, Michael just went through the same thing James had already gone through; James sees the similarities, and he recognizes that Michael has how chosen their side when he was in a position to let them die. This is just so stunning, I cannot comprehend how this show is ending (regardless of what it was originally about) with a storyline like this.
I think the best way to end this show is to let Michael die saving Fi, Sam, Jesse and Madeline. I think it would be a nice way for Michael's tortured character to end after everything he's been through, to let him find his peace and dying for his friends and family. He went too far this season to get back what he lost of his soul. Can't wait to see what the writers came up with, too bad we have to wait for it!!!
I was so expecting this... Michael is a true believer and now, finally, he's seeing CIA is not what he thought it was. Last week they brush off that he had to kill an old contact for the mission, and now he just saw how they let a psychopath like Simon free for their own purposes, without batting an eyelid. He give up all his life to these people and now he discovered they and enemies are not so different.
I'm amazed some people say Michael is the monster here, wondering if he will end like Simon... Strong is the monster. He's working with CIA but he doesn't care about anything but his goals. Michael said Simon "not like this". He care about ethics, and people, and now he's lost, vulnerable and feeling fooled. And he's go to need his true friends like anytime before.
This shouldn't have really been news to Micheal, the CIA has absolutely never been fair to him or with their ethics. Really great ep.
Btw, can someone tell me why James wasn't suspicious before? At his recruitement/interrogation Micheal says he has nothing anymore (friends and family), but they still come to him constantly and help him out with his missions. How can someone not see that contradiction?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I think for 1) wow and 2) What in the world is Michael do now? I think James almost respects him more somehow

ReplyDeleteIt's just he has now risked Sam, Fi, and Jessies life to save Sonya's. A bit odd
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Micheal will end up like Simon after all.
ReplyDeleteUnexpected one. Really nervous about how this will all end.
