Wow. What is up with all these cable shows having to go into the softcore porn area? I was very VERY disappointed in The Bridge. I dont' need to see Charlotte having sex constantly. Either come up with a good story for her or kill her off. I also didn't need to see that old lady being pleasure by Charlotte's boytoy drug whore. I have young children and yes, they are usually in bed, but what if they came out and saw that? It's disgusting. Kids are home from school and not all of them go to bed at 10pm. Not everyone needs to have sex/nudity thrown in our faces constantly just because the cable stations can get away with it. Too much!!!! I am far from a prude, but let's be honest. A good show doesn't need all this extra shit. Especially since it's always the women who are being exploited and not the men.
This was the worst episode of the bunch. Pointless sex scenes, the plot went no where (no way is that guy the killer) and it felt completely different from the previous 6 episodes that were all good. I hope next episode is better.
You don't think Graciela was exploiting Ray? Sex is a part of life and a lot can be learned by showing that side of a character. How much better do you understand Charlotte because of her sex life than if you just saw her other kinds of 'business dealings'? I don't feel that the sex in The Bridge is too much because every scene gives us new information about the characters. I found Stokes getting his head blown off to be far, *far* more disturbing than any of the sex scenes on this show.
I do have to admit though that Charlotte bores me to tears as every week, she has the exact same story. Good God woman, blow up the tunnel and go dig for gold somewhere else already. :)
So... anybody agree with any of these... -We're now spending more time with Cooper to distract us from Hank-is-the-killer. We learn he's okay with Dirty Harry justice so that he ranks higher on our suspect list (but does anybody really think this guy is the killer? And he's the only other one right now who could be.) -Deputy Stokes had the entire thing figured out thanks to that 'trip' to the dentist and the picture he saw on the wall when he had his eureka moment seemed to be a desert area similar to where the killer had left the girl to die. That we saw all of this is a major clue-- as is the fact that he addressed his comments to Marco. Hank -- the Deputy's boss-- was standing right there at the time that Stokes came up but the deputy didn't try to impress him with his ideas, he addressed Marco. So he could have been about to theorize something he felt only Marco could answer or that he just might be the most qualified to answer, if Deputy Stokes' theory had something to do with Mexican culture. -That the woman's picture hanging on the wall in Sonya's apartment is most likely her sister, Lisa, but looked a lot like Fausto's girlfriend.
Late to the party! I just watched this last night. My favorite scene was Daniel going through withdrawal like a trooper, even to the point of giving up a good story to Adriana. My most Huh? scene was Graciela with Ray. Eww. And then, we know a little more about both characters, as to how far they'll go. I wonder what Stokes was going to say. It always seems people get shot just when they're about to say something important.
It'd be nice if it weren't the case, I agree, but who else is looking to be the killer, really? Unless it's Cooper. I would love for it to not be Hank because Hank is awesome.
Hey guys! So I was rewatching scenes, and does this look like a goof to you? Going left to right, you can see how Sonya hits the ground and where the gun etc is. Then she gets up and is reaching for her gun when Marco pats her shoulder. But she's back on the ground same position, gun unmoved when Marco's heading to tackle the perp! And next shot she's up again.
Haha maybe originally Marco just runs by, but they thought that seems too cold and put in the pat scene. Or maybe I'm reading to much into this and it's just fluke...What do you guys think?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
POLL : What did you think of The Bridge - Destino?

ReplyDeleteI agree. Hopefully the next episode will focus more on the plot than they sex/nudity.

ReplyDeleteI really, really, hope Hank is not the killer, just because I'm so tired of that trope. The trusted boss did it! I hope we get a break this time.
