    I've never been so tensed during an episode. I was so sure Walt would get rid of Jesse, but it all turned in unexpected ways.
    Apocalypse in ABQ starts next week!

    Wow, that ending completely knocked me down! I said last week I loved the idea of Jesse being the wild card/pawn in Hank and Walt's rivalry, but what they did was SO MUCH BETTER!! Lord only knows what he might do if he finds out about Jane...

    How? How does Breaking Bad give us a brilliant premiere, followed up by an even better second episode, only to be topped again by another episode? It just... doesn't seem possible? This season, these 3 episodes, have been some of the best (and fast paced!) story telling I've ever seen! And it is working wonders! Those 40 minutes just flew by!

    That was an insane episode, I can't even... That has gotta be the most intense family dinner ever. Hank assuring Walt that he won't let him off the hook, Marie just blatantly telling Walt to commit suicide, Skyler saying that it's all in the past and Walt telling Marie to stop with her attempts to take the kids away. There was just so much tension and friction in this scene that even the perky waiter couldn't get a chuckle out of me.

    Oh my God, this was even better than the last two episodes. Every single scene was so intense.

    Walt´s confession was fantastic, I did not see that coming.
    The lunch was just perfect, everybody acted so damn good.
    But Jesse has to be the best character of this episode. Loved the scene in the desert with Walt hugging Jesse. And the last scenes with him leaving Sauls office only to return. I´m so glad that Jesse is smart enough to see what is going on.

    Yeah that was incredible even for the high standards of Breaking Bad it took it to another level. Walter's confession was so chilling because any outsider would probably believe him so Hank really is in a horrible position right now. Jesse finally broke through his catatonic state in a sensational way, been waiting for a long time for Jesse to find out just how much Walter has lied and manipulated him.

    That is the great thing about the show, right?! Anything can happen next week. I did not see Walt´s confession coming and it changed everything. Who knows what´s gonna happen next week?!

    I was unable to process all the awesome contained within that episode so it took me a day to comment! XD


    In retrospect the false confession was set up so brilliantly. Just so solid even if I did not see it coming!
    Walt has a way of taking his weakness and tweaking it a little to twist it into a strength and this was no exception.


    That said, he may have gone to the well one too many times with Jesse!
    Jesse has seen how Walt operates and the more exposure to his schemes, the more he can piece together Walt's past actions he had missed.


    I think in many ways Skyler wanted to reconcile with Marie, to apologize for her part in events that harmed Hank and Marie. Well, I think that is no longer even a consideration after Marie suggested Walter kill himself. It showed how uncaring and selfish Marie is and ironically since Skyler once said something similar to Walt it shows how selfish and uncaring Skyler was in the past.


    I keep looking at every amazing episode and trying to figure out how it fits into the flash forward events we have seen and I to this point cannot get a solid handle on where things are going. While that is frustrating it also shows just how incredible the writing is on Breaking Bad!


    The amount of information contained in every episode is insane and the ability of the writers to anticipate when and how the audience understands connections is amazing! Some of the info lets viewers figure out plot points for the episode or seasonal arc, but that same information when combined with subtle details from past and future episodes can then be used to solve the future plot lines as well! The level of control the writers have on the audience is just awe-inspiring to me!

    The element that makes this show so engrossing is that I've identified with Walt from the very beginning. I find myself rooting for him even though his doing monstrous things in order to try to stave off the inevitable.

    That truly is the master stroke of the series!


    Walter White was introduced as a man who is undervalued both with his family and his career. A lackluster marriage bordering on disinterest from Skyler, a dead end job, and then to make everything just that much worse he is diagnosed with cancer! Despite all of this his only motivation for everything he does is to make sure his family is set up for the future without him.


    It's hard not to side with the guy that will do anything to take care of his family.... Even if his family is often antagonistic. He has everything stacked against him and is nothing but a sympathetic underdog that one cannot help but root for!


    Those initial feelings of rooting for the little guy manage to stick with many viewers even after he transforms from Walter White to Heisenberg - From under-appreciated and desperate underdog to overconfident and rabid top dawg!
