  1. They are really moving along fast. I did think that Hank's telling Marie would take up some dramatic time, but I'm glad they left that off camera. I remember when Skyler told Marie that if she ever knew the truth, Marie would never talk to Skyler again. But what's with the kidnapping attempt? Harkening back to her kleptomaniac career? All I have to say is, Marie actually looks very nice in purple.

I can't wait until next week, when Hank walks through that door. I just bet Hank and Jesse make a great team against Walt.

  2. wow, I was really blown away this week it really topped last week for me! So much going on!! now Marie knows and Hank knows skylar knows.. Wow!! I'm shocked at skylar wanting to protect walt though always thought she wanted out.

  3. Unbelievably amazing! 2 episodes in and so much has happened, so much has changed. This, this right here ladies and gentlemen is how you do a final season! Fast paced! Dramatic interchanges! Interesting developments. Everything from the opening to the ending, just... wow!

And I guess we've eliminated 1 group from the running for "Who is Walt going after with that machine gun?" Declan's whole team, dead and gone, didn't think they'd be gone so quickly. I know Lydia was a suspect as the answer to the question, but it seems pretty strong that it could be Lydia/Todd/Todd's uncle that Walt is going after.

Why though? Why can't we just have it all now!? It's painful having to wait a week for each new episode. I guess it makes our anticipation build and makes the experience more enjoyable, but I want to see it all now. Keep it up Breaking Bad, keep it up.

  4. I loved last week's episode, but this one was just amazing! This really is shaping up to be a fantastic final season! I love how everything has been turned on it's head, so that every scene is volatile and unpredictable. The show was always great at twists and turns, but this is just a new level - everything is falling apart, with alarming speed!

Hank and Marie vs. Walt and Skyler could get very interesting - well, it already is, but now (almost) everything's out in the open, the game has changed and anything could happen.

I also really like that Jesse is now Hank's 'wild card' - could he guilty enough to reveal everything?! That ending was such a tease!

  5. Betsby Brandt killed it in this episode. Brilliant.

  6. - I actually thought it was a tad slower than the average BB episode but it was great nonetheless.
Skyler was right to stop Walt for turning himself in, there is no way she could've used that money after he had done so. It's still unclear what Skyler's endgame is. I think she's very conflicted and probably doesn't even know herself what she should do. Making a deal to get out of this mess would mean that Junior finds out the truth and that has always been something she doesn't want to happen. We already know from previous seasons that she would rather have him hate her than know the truth, so it'll be very interesting what kind of choices she is going to make.

    - Marie trying to take Holly with her was a little extreme but I get it, she just wants her safe just like Skyler did when she learned the truth about Walt. By the way, where's Junior in all of this?

    - Lydia was hilarious, acting all tough and then having to be escorted to her car by Todd.

    - Not much of guilt-driven Jesse this week but just like with Skyler he's a wild card right now and there's no way of knowing what he will and won't tell Hank.

  7. I just don't understand one thing - Jesse was throwing out the money at the end of previous episode and it was night. When Hank and Walt were fighting, it was a day. I don't see consistency in this... is it a mistake on producers part or am I missing something?

  8. t's not a stretch to think that the timeline from episode to episode is not necessarily linear, especially when you're considering the opening scene of an episode.

  9. Wow. The game keeps changing. Everyone has a certain level of unpredictability now that the cat is out of the bag.

Jesse -- wow, he's really letting the guilt eat him alive. I don't know that I'd be that broken up about anything. At least not outwardly. But then again, I've never been a party to multiple murders and conspiracies so I guess I don't know how I'd respond.

  10. Yes, it's difficult to know what Jesse is going through. I think Jesse has just been sitting around reflecting on everything that's happened without any work to occupy his mind. Todd killing Drew Sharp is something, I think, that is eating at him the most at this point. Jesse wasn't able to properly process what happened that day because he was busy cooking/etc. Now that Jesse is "retired" he has nothing but time to think about things. I do think that if the boy hadnt been murdered like he was, Jesse would be in a much better place at this point.

  12. You're right, ShatteredOne. This is how you do a true final season. Not like Dexter. And I share your pain of waiting a whole week until a new episode of Breaking Bad. I wish they could air them all throughout the week.

  16. 8 days in a row of new Breaking Bad would be quite awesome indeed, you'd still get the small wait but also get faster satisfaction. And I don't know, Dexter's final season isn't bad (definitely not the worst season the show has had), but when you look at Breaking Bad and how it's just a go go go, it doesn't compare at all.

  17. Junior is in the supermarket, torn between buying Fruit Loops and Cap'n Crunch.
If he only knew how much money his dad has, he could buy both... or all the freaking cereal brands in the universe
