  1. Glad it picked up at the end. Skyler needs to go.

  2. Now THAT was some damn good television!

  3. Final scene was the one I was waiting for since the first half ended months ago

  4. WOW! Hank and Walter face-off. Finally. And Jesse's getting smart, finally. Badger and Skinny Pete should be in spin-off, or join TBBT gang!

  5. I think for Breaking Bad post-episode polls, there should be an added option of "YEAH, BITCH!"

Because, seriously, "Awesome" isn't good enough for this show.

  6. #EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Joining the TBBT gang would definitely be something!

  9. The first scene, damn that was crazy to see where we're going. And that final scene... holy crap was that some intense television!

  10. I loved the last few min of the ep where Hank and Walt discussed things. I wasn't expecting this confrontation to happen for... another few eps? There not wasting any time. The coming eps will be jam packed.

  11. I mean I have always thought Breaking Bad was the best show on TV, but somehow I managed to forget exactly how brilliant it is!
    JUST WOW.

I was having flashbacks to The Shield and how Lem coudl not handle the "blood money" and after finally being in the free and clear his conscience kicked in and he broke down. Much like Jesse who has been walking the edge for some time now has cracked.

I think Jesse would actually prefer if he were punished compared to "getting away with it" in the end. Maybe he would not feel the need to punish himself then?
Poor Lem... erm I mean Jesse!

I'm not sure if it's ironic or just tragic that Walt has been struggling to stay alive and stay in the game for a year, but once he decides to get out his secret catches up to him....

It will be interesting to see how everything plays out with Lydia and the Euro-trade. Will she try to force Walter's hand to get him back in? Will she be out for his blood if he tries to stay out? Will Walter attempt to play Lydia and Hank against each other as a means to escape?

And speaking of Hank, what is his new endgame knowing his brother-in-law is the man he unknowingly been chasing for all these months? His loyalty and family bond appears to only go so far.

The series endgame is something I have never quite been able to figure and not surprisingly that means I do not have a handle on where each role is headed. Well other than Walt is about to spiral downward and grow a beard! XD

  12. Amazing! I especially loved the opening of the episode... that shot of Walt in the mirror was brilliant!

  13. Well, it seems like Walt is not the only one growing a beard, Hank looked pretty rough in the last scene. :-)

You are right, it is easy to forget what a brilliant show it is. And it was a amazing comeback.

Hank had Walt´s kids living with him for a long time. I think it will be difficult for him to disappoint them aswell as his own wife. I doubt he has a lot of loyalty left for Walt and Skylar though.

  14. Exactly.
Whatever Hank does it will affect more than just Walt. Even if the blue meth has been his obsession for more than a year now I'm not sure what he will do. It would absolutely destroy the already fragile Marie. By doing the "right thing" he would basically be destroying everything in his life outside of his work.

  15. wow!!!! Cant believe we are just gonna have 7 more episodes... Just love this show!

  16. Finally the best show on TV is back!! Brilliant episode and that last scene was amazing.

  17. Simply incredible, Dean Norris stole the episode for me and seeing as both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul had such incredible scenes that says a lot. I loved how Hank reacted, the panic attack in the car felt so real and seeing the shit he went through in previous seasons you can completely understand that he is so overwhelmed in that moment. Then the final scene, I was not expecting that confrontation to happen so soon and it opens up a world of possibilities for the next 7 episodes.

  18. It is difficult to imagine Hank doing the right thing, now that we have seen that the world will know that Walt is Heisenberg. But these writers are sooo good, most likely it will be someone else, who tells on Walt. Jesse?

And why was Walt getting the ricin in the first scene? Who is he gonna kill? Hank? Jesse? Lydia?

  19. The panic attack was really well acted and did feel very real. Dean Norris did an amazing job.

  20. I just cannot even guess who Walt is going to go after....
They can go i n so many directions still!

My guess is Lydia will make a power grab to be Season 5.2's "big bad" and Walter has some sort of final redemption arc either sacrificing himself or killing someone to save his family/ Jesse/ Hank... , However, I do not know that he will try to kill Lydia to save them. There could be a twist yet, some new power grab yet to come.

The real problem I have is I simply have no idea how they will end it.
What is Walt's endgame? Does he go all bad or does he break good in the end? Would it be a suck out to give Walt redemption? Has he gone past the point of no return? I just have no idea....

  21. Yes, so many options. Only 7 episodes left and we have no idea. But I trust that we will get the right ending for Breaking Bad. It is very difficult for me to imagine a happy ending for any of the characters.

I don´t know about Lydia being "The Big Bad". She is not very scary and Walt should be more concerned with Hank. But Lydia might do something nuts that will affect Walt and his family. She seems very unstable.

    ReplyDelete
  22. True about Lydia being more scary unstable than scary mastermind....
I guess I meant more than just her as in the European connection.

One arc I can see is Walt on the run from Hank and the DEA (where we see him in the flash forwards) only coming back because Lydia's Euro drug cartel has come to town to threaten Walt's family/ Hank/ Jesse in an attempt to either collect loss profits due to low quality product or in an attempt to try to get the original cook back in the fold.

It would explain the M60 but not the Ricin maybe....

I agree though, I do not see anyone being content when it ends! XD
Well, maybe Walt if he dies saving his loved ones.

  23. One of the finest hours of television ever. Had everything you wished for, from the terrifyingly eerie opening scene to the ever so long anticipated face-off. A waste of breath to even comment on the perfect acting of everyone involved, as anyone knows this by now, and the soundtrack/score was on point and pushed the excitement to the max. This was utter greatness =)

  24. I wonder if the panic attack itself was a nod to The Sopranos, where Tony had many of those and it was also one of the few series that went into a split final season ;D

    ReplyDelete
  25. I think it relates back to the PTSD Hank had after the Tuco shoot out. Though no doubt Sopranos did show how even tough guys have anxiety and mental health issues. Walter vs Tony now that would have been glorious to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yes, I can see Hank and the DEA chasing after Walt. The question is, where is Skylar? In prison? With Walt (on the run)?
I think you are right, there must be a clash between Lydia and her european connections and the DEA or/and Walt at some point. Lydia doesn´t strike me as the kind of person that will survive that. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Oh, indeed =) although the Sopranos still feels like it took place 20 years earlier than it actually does ^^

  28. Can't forget about Hank now realizing his therapy may have been paid with drug money. That would be the cherry on Hank's sundae.
