TVLine has learned exclusively that comedy vet June Diane Raphael (NTSF:SD:SUV::, New Girl) has signed on to play the Eagleton counterpart of Aubrey Plaza’s apathetic April.
“She’s April’s doppelgänger,” confirms exec producer Mike Schur, who describes Raphael’s character as “kind of a rich boozy Real Housewives-type.”
Tom’s copy, meanwhile, is being kept under wraps. “Tom’s doppelganger is a spoiler,” Schur teased. “It’s not who the actor is – it’s the concept behind it.”
