Co-showrunner Adam Horowitz meanwhile clarified the scheduling plan for
what he and Kitsis dubbed a “psychedelic romance,” seeing as an ABC press
release suggested Wonderland would finale by the time the reality series The
Quest claims Thursday’s lead-off spot on Jan. 2.
Working off an order of currently 13 episodes, he said, “The plan would be to tell a whole string of episodes in the fall, and then we come back after The Quest to finish up the story for this season.”

ReplyDeleteI would have preferred it for Wonderland to air in one batch but oh well..
ReplyDeleteI guess they are sticking with the original episode order. If this becomes good enough I wonder what season 2 would be about
ReplyDeleteNo surprise there that ABC will try to cover both the November and February (or May maybe?) sweeps.
ReplyDeleteThey already stated that each season would cover a different realm, ala American Horror Story.
ReplyDeleteBut unlike AHS, a possible S2 of Wonderland with have the same characters as S1.
ReplyDeletePretty sure it was confirmed the season's going to be more than 13 episodes, but less than 22.
ReplyDeleteOnly 13 have been currently officially ordered.
ReplyDeleteLets not forget the Olympics is airing in February and we gonna see alot of hiatus for all the shows during the 2 week Olympics
ReplyDeleteThis is what I thought.
ReplyDeleteOk, after reviewing my source:

I admit 'confirmed' is too strong a word for it. That said, I believe EW to be a good enough source for behind the scenes information, so I'm sticking on my belief that it'll be more than 13 episodes.
Yep, unless the ratings are horrible I'm pretty sure that we'll see more than 13 :)
ReplyDeleteAnd, also, this is ABC, nothing is for sure. This was slated to premiére late fall, for starters.
ReplyDeleteso why didn't they just stick to the original plan of airing between the 2 batches of once upon a time!
ReplyDeleteIt would take until December for the first batch to finish and premiering Wondereland in Dec. means certain cancellation. So the earliest possible premiere date would be January and that doesn't leave enough room for all 13+ episodes to air because Once reutnrs on March 9th.
ReplyDeleteAlso, ABC needs a drama to work on the deathslot and Wonderland is by far their most anticipated upcoming drama.
Completely forget about that that was in February, I'm thinking stretching it to May (with an extra episodes order) is likely.
ReplyDeleteI know all shows end at least the second and third week of may never seen a show that ends at the last week of may lol exception for revolution lol
ReplyDeleteSorry, but Wonderland has got nothing on SHIELD.
ReplyDeleteI was confused why you brought up SHIELD, then I read my comment... Must have forgotten about it when I wrote the comment, hehe. Their are so many shows premiering in the upcoming season that I sometimes forget about one or two of them.
