Law & Order alum Barry Schindel has closed a deal to board CBS’ midseason drama series Intelligence as executive producer and showrunner, working closely with the series creator/executive producer Michael Seitzman. Schindel replaces Rene Echevarria who departed last month after joining the project at the pilot stage.

I was originally concerned when Echevarria left but since then I've realized that it's no big deal. Like the article states, Echevarria joined at the pilot stage. All the creative stuff is mostly nailed down by then so I'm guessing his addition was simply to add structure. The person behind the concept and the story (Seitzman) is still EP.
