ReplyDeleteAgreed. It seems like they are focused on widening the scope which should be very good for Grimm. I like that we are going to see more of the royals' plans as it should give us a better idea of what the keys are all about. Now if only Mama Grimm would come back for an extra dose of crazy. Surely she can't have that much to do on Hostages.
ReplyDeleteLast time I read an interview with the producers that touched on the keys issue, it seemed that the producers hadn't made up their minds as to what the keys give access to. I thought that was a bit disappointing. I figure something that important to the mythology of the show should be meticulously devised well in advance.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I have been behind on my SpoilerTV news and hadn't heard that. I would think that was hashed out in season 1 since they made such a big deal about it. I'm not a big fan of genre shows winging it. That's what made me so frustrated with X-Files and LOST. If you don't know anything else on a fantasy show, you should at least know the big picture and be heading toward an end goal. How else do you keep from killing your own canon halfway through.

ReplyDeleteLOST didn't "wing it" they foreshadowed the ending in the very first episode. The thing is many people missed the clues/hints/allusions and then blame the show, instead of themselves.
ReplyDeleteAccording to LOST's own creators, they kept the ending purposely vague so that people could chose to interpret it however they wanted as they did throughout. Some people really enjoy that. To me it is lazy writing.

ReplyDelete"Vague" dosen't mean not answered, Theres nothing on LOST that wasnt answered in one way or another, But the way things were answered are of a much more sophisticated way than 99% of other shows.
ReplyDeleteLOST can be called many things, But to say it has "lazy writing" is preposterous. There has never been a show with so much depth to its writing, 3 years since "The End", 5 rewatches later and I am STILL picking up little hints/allusions/easter eggs etc that come to mean something big much later on.
You dont agree, Thats fine, Your loss IMO.
