In a competitive situation with multiple networks
bidding, ABC has nabbed a drama project from former Chuck
executive producer Matthew Miller and Lin Pictures with a put
pilot commitment. Titled Forever , the drama hails from Warner
Bros. TV where Miller and Lin Pictures are under overall deals.
It centers on Dr. Henry Morgan, the most over-qualified
pathology associate in the world who has experienced it all —
wars, love, even smallpox and malaria — but there is one feat
that he can’t seem to accomplish: dying. Morgan is a 200-year-old man who
spends his days working in the New York City Morgue trying to find a key to
unlock the curse of his immortality. His investigative work with hard-nosed NYPD
detective Jo Martinez will reveal elements of Morgan’s colorful life. Miller will be
writing the script and will executive produce with Lin Pictures’ Dan Lin and
Jennifer Gwartz.

I think he won't look old, I'm not excited till I see some promo
ReplyDeleteAlmost New Amsterdam spin-off.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds really interesting... But not really for ABC, it sounds more like something NBC would order and then cancel after a few episodes...
ReplyDeleteThat would only happen if the show gets ordered to series.
ReplyDeleteKinda sounds like New Amsterdam.... hope this one has a better fate...
ReplyDelete(I miss NA so much... it deserved more....)
FOX gave that show a raw deal. It definitely deserved a better fate.
ReplyDeleteIf they hadn't kept it for midseason, and had nurtured during the fall I strongly believe it would have made it. Having said that I am glad Nikolaj ended up on GoT in the end....
ReplyDeleteThat's the thing about NA. The ratings were alright. There wasn't a lot of nurturing needed. FOX just flat-out screwed the show over.
ReplyDeleteIt was originally scheduled for fall but then FOX held it instead. It was supposed to then have a winter premiere but was pushed again 'til March. Before the show aired they had cut down the episode order and then the network shut down production altogether after seven episodes. By all accounts, FOX just didn't like the show.
"By all accounts, FOX just didn't like the show."
ReplyDelete*nods* Clearly! And I don't get it.... it was great!
