NBC just nabbed Emerald City, a Wizard Of Oz-themed drama from Siberia creator/showrunner Matthew Arnold. Emerald City , which Arnold is writing and executive producing through Universal Television, is described as a dark reimagining of the classic tale of Oz in the vein of Game Of Thrones , drawing upon stories from the original 14 books by Frank Baum.

  2. Has to be better than the awful medical drama version but really I just want a big screen version of Wicked.

  4. I like the dark aspect of it. Also, Siberia has gotten FANTASTIC so I'm glad the same guy is attached, I just hope they make it significantly dark and hopefully somewhat disturbing.

  6. A dark OZ could certainly work and I've heard good things about Siberia. Color me interested. :)

  7. "One short day, in the Emerald City,
one short day, full of so much to do
Everyway that you look in the city
There's something exquisite that you'll want to visit
    Before the day's through"

    Sorry, I just had to.

  8. Could be good. I especially like that it's aiming going to go broader in the mythos of Oz rather than sticking with the popular stuff....
