Update: 21st Sept jkrishan, who has been a reliable source over at IMDB has posted the following about the Series Finale Episode. He does not post many big reveals but does debunk a few previously posted spoilers. He provides his own thoughts about the Finale.
It's all over. Done. Finished.
After 8 seasons, 96 episodes, and countless victims, Dexter Morgan has taken his final bow.
Season 8 has been a mixed bag, to say the very least. With all due respect to those who have been enjoying it...It should've been so much more. What started with so much potential and intrigue, dissipated into unfocused story lines, lazy pacing, and a lack of emotional weight. This being the final season, there shouldn't have been a wasted moment.
Maybe time will be kinder to Season 8 down the road, but its not about the first 11 episodes anymore... It's about the BIG one. Either the finale puts the nail in the season, or it goes out on a emotional and intense high.
As always, you'll find NO SPOILERS for the finale here. But I'll do you all a kindness and debunk a few rampant details...
No Quinn becomes the new Dexter.
No Matthews kills Dexter.
No bodies washing up on shore.
That's the only spoilers I know or will address.
So how IS the episode?
Dexheads... I really don't know what to say.
At exactly 10:00pm ET on Sunday, September 22nd... The *beep* will hit the fan.
Emotional without emotion. Clever without being logical. Urgent without being intense. A little bit brilliant, a whole lotta stupid, an interesting conclusion, and an unsatisfying experience. In other words...
It's a mess. But when it hits, there's moments that stuck in your brain. Unfortunately these moments are too few and far between.
We finally get a Saxon that's insanely menacing. If THIS guy showed up in Episode 5 or 6, we'd have a villain worth getting excited over. Too little too late. His fate can be debated as clever, stupid, or anticlimactic.
Our cast does solid work, but nobody particularly swings for the fences. Given the emotional stakes, MCH is particularly subdued in certain key moments. Considering these season has been about Dexter embracing deep feelings and emotion, it's a unique choice for the actor and character. But this is the detail that intrigues me the most.
There's no doubt the episode has a lot of problems, and its going to be like Christmas for the haters, but what the ending has to say about the character of Dexter will be the hot topic of the day. Some will love the final resolution, some will call it the ultimate cop out, while others will question it's intention and meaning. It's not Sopranos vague by any stretch, but the final moment of the entire series has a unique impact.
When the end credits appear, there's definitely a feeling that Episode 12 should've been better. You can't shake the feeling of convenient logicr and questionable decisions. But after it begins to simmer in your brain, the good, and sometimes great, rises to the surface. Like Dexter, who is in constant conflict with his emotions and intentions, so is the finale.
I was intrigued, I was disappointed, I was touched emotionally, I was completely pissed off, I thought it showed flashes of brilliance and moments of absolute stupidity. I want to forget it, but it stayed with me.
A fitting and poignant end for the character of Dexter Morgan. A questionable, and debatable, end for the series.
Cut to black
EDIT: Ok. I watched it again. A lot of the same problems, but... When you realize what the episode is trying to say, Michael C Hall's performance in the last act is beautifully done.

Update: 6th September Thanks to Darthlocke for the heads up on this new set of spoilers as reported by LA Times. Again we have no real way of knowing.
Read at your risk!
Now a leak from Reddit has some ominous findings about the characters and supposedly reveals the fate of each character. We're warning you now--if you read the rest of this, you will stumble upon some major spoilers! First off, Dexter does not die. Happy? Don't get too excited because according to the supposed spoilers, Deb dies in the show. Deb's death leads Dexter to quit his serial killing profession and to move away with Hannah and Harrison. As for Quinn, he becomes the next Dexter.
According to the entry, Dexter and Harrison will be on their way to Brazil while Hannah is being followed by Elway. Dexter is receiving phone calls from Quinn, but he ignores it, as he has a fake bomb threat to make (to get Elway off Hannah's back) and to fix Harrison's wounds. Once Dexter picks up Quinn's call, he learns that Deb has been hurt. "Dexter tries to talk again but Quinn again interrupts him. "It's bad Dex..." and it sounds like Quinn starts crying. Dexter tries to calm Quinn down, but even his voice his shaky as he asks how bad," writes the supposed Showtime employee. "Dexter's inner voice comments on how annoying all these newfound emotions have been ever since he saw Vogel killed in front of him. Quinn responds barely fighting back more tears, saying that "They don't think she'll make it through the night.""
Dexter updates Hannah and returns to the hospital where everyone is there for Deb. Elway shows up and tells Dexter he thinks Deb was working with Hannah, which causes Dexter to explode. Quinn takes Dexter to an empty x-ray lab and tells him that Saxon was captured and that he didn't tell anyone because Saxon deserves to be killed. Quinn admits that he always had a hunch about Dexter's ways but was convinced during the Travis Marshall case. "[Quinn] tells Dexter how he sees the good in it, even going as far as saying Dexter has done more meaningful things than Quinn ever has," writes the anonymous poster. "Dexter falls back into a chair and starts bawling. He tells Quinn everything, how he let Doakes take the fall for BHB, how Deb found out, how Deb killed Laguerta to protect him, and how he could not kill Saxon and has totally lost his urge to kill because of Hannah, and that he was planning on leaving the country with her."
Quinn tells Dexter he will do the killing and Dexter gives him the M99. With Dexter's tools with him, Quinn goes to kill Saxon. Upon capturing Saxon, Quinn learns that Saxon killed Deb for no good reason. Dexter finally goes in to Deb's room before her surgery. While Deb undergoes surgery, Quinn works on killing Saxon. Quinn ultimately kills Saxon and Deb flatlines, and the doctors are unable to resuscitate her.

Update: 26th August A Massive thanks to HollaDollar from TWoP for make a large number of edits and updates to try to help clear up the information that was originally posted.
Episode 10 Title, "Goodbye Miami" Thanks to Fred222 for the info!
Synopsis: Dexter enlists Dr. Vogel's help to lure the Brain Surgeon to a location in order to get him on the table. Later, an important person in Dexter's life is murdered before his eyes.
Dex tells Miami Metro that he is leaving. Vogel dies in this episode, the final scene has Vogel dead w/ her throat slit only Dexter & Saxon are there. More info from 10: In episode 10, Quinn meets with Debra at a cafe with roller-skating waitresses, and she tells him Dexter is leaving Miami. In another scene, Quinn and Jamie are having a meal at Angel's beach cafe. The new Marshal, Clayton (who's tracking Hannah), shows up at Deb's beach house while Deb and Hannah are both there. Miami Metro investigates a hit & run accident next to a fountain, with a dead cyclist lying in the middle of the street, and Dex and Batista have a long talk, and then they hug: it is possible Dex was telling Batista that he was leaving. Then there's the going-away party for Dex, full of Miami Metro types, at Angel's cafe. Finally, there's a scene at a dock (supposedly outside Miami Metro), where Quinn & Deb talk & kiss. Dex also sets up a kill room for the Brain Surgeon-Saxon but he can't quite get him on the table.
UPDATE 8-26-13 In episode 11: "Monkey in a Box" Thanks to Lauren & Fred222!
SYNOPSIS: Dexter is torn between fleeing the country with Hannah and Harrison, and taking Saxon out once and for all.
I'm not sure about the exact order of these scenes but here goes:
As we know, Vogel is killed at the end of Ep10 by Saxon and her funeral takes place in Ep. 11. Vogel basically dies in Dex's arms and he has to use Vogel's sink to clean the blood off his hands.
Dex tries to sell his boat to a guy who is only interested in the size of the beer cooler. He wants to get the boat inland before Hurricane Laura hits. The guy passes on purchasing the boat.
There's a mental/psych hospital scene where Dex is wearing his kill suit walking through the halls until he comes to a kill room that he recognizes from a video that Saxon made while killing Zach. This is in an abandoned psych hospital that Saxon uses as his lair.
There is a scene at Dex's apartment w/ just Deb & Dex. Dex dexides that Astor can have his car after the storm passes by. While the TV is on MUTE, playing in the background, a pic of Saxon flashes on the local news and states that he is wanted in connection with several murders. Dex leaked some evidence that implicated Saxon in even more crimes than Saxon actually committed. Dex asks Deb to leave his apartment and to go hide elsewhere b/c he fears Saxon will come looking for him. Saxon sees this same news flash while at a gas station and hurries off.
After seeing his face on the news, Saxon goes after Dex in Dex's apartment (think ITK style), and it looks bad for Dex, but then Saxon feels Deb's gun at the back of his head and Deb says, "Suprise, mother -", just like Doakes. From here, I BELIEVE this is where Dex & Deb take Saxon back to the psych hospital where Dex planned to kill him. However, before getting Saxon on the table, Dexter loses his urge to kill! After losing his urge to kill, Dex decides to leave Saxon tied up so Deb and MMPD can come arrest him. Dex and Deb have a heart to heart. Dex also decides to leave his knives behind w/ Saxon so Saxon will end up getting credit for many, many more murders (all the ones Dex committed and the BHB murders, most likely). Dex tells Deb that he will no longer need his tools as he plans to start a new life w/ Hannah in South America. They share a long hug. A bit later, Harry appears and says something like "I never thought I'd see this day you don't have an urge to kill". It is then made clear to viewers that Harry will DISAPPEAR FROM THE SERIES!!!. Dex returns to his apartment to pack & pick up Harrison. They say goodbye to Jamie and Dex locks his apartment door and heads off to meet Hannah at the airport. Harrison is carrying a rolling panda bear suitcase.
Clayton shows up at the hospital (presumably looking for Hannah) and finds Saxon; he unknowingly unties a wanted Saxon. Saxon returns the favor by killing Clayton in Ep 11. Elway is following-tracking Hannah at the airport in Ep. 11. Dexter and Harrison are at a different location in the airport at this time.
Sorry for the confusion, scenes are filmed out of order and some info is secondhand so it is difficult to follow at times.
Note: Earlier it was said the episode ends w/ Saxon breaking into Deb's apartment but that is not true. Come to think of it, this info further discredits trash432 as he claimed that Saxon broke into Debs apartment as part if his spoilers...
1. The "suprise motherf__ker" scene where Deb comes up behind Saxon inside Dex's apartment.
2. Harrison and Dexter leaving Dex's apartment one final time and Harrison is carrying his rolling panda bear suitcase; it is hard to see in the still shot but you can tell he's rolling a suitcase when you watch the video.
Original Post
These have been floating around the net for a few weeks now. I waited to post them here to see how the early episode spoilers stacked up in terms of accuracy.
The first few are for episodes that have now aired, I've included them so that you can see just how accurate they were. As you can see they pretty much nailed the early episodes.
I strongly advise that you DON'T READ THESE if you want to remain unspoiled but for those that do, please take with a grain of salt as we can't 100% guarantee their accuracy.
If you do read them, let us know what you think in the comments below.
A big thanks to HollaDollar from TWoP for collating all these together in once place.
Episode 8.06, "A Little Reflection"
In episode 6, "A Little Reflection" Hannah drugs Dex & Deb. Just prior to passing out, Dex sees Hannah & she says something like "remember me?" Quinn pulls up immediately after Dex m99s Zach Hamilton and says "I know what you're doing" but he just thinks Dex is spying on Zach- b/c Quinn is also trying to spy on Zach. He does not see them99ing. It's set up that Elway wants to spy on his brother-in-law because he knows that he's cheating on his sister. When the guy hits on Deb and Elway freaks out, it looks like he's doing it because this scumbag is a cheater, but Deb somehow takes his freak out as that he likes her. Dexter has Zach H on his table...but ends up not killing him...similar to how Dexter didn't kill Hannah...but without the sex part. Saxon makes a brief appearance in Ep 6, he is probably the real Brain Surgeon.
Harrison lies about hiding the TV remote. When Dex confronts him about it, he says "Daddy lies", and then pulls out the bloodstained stuffed dog toy that Dexter got blood on. Harrison saw Dex throw it away in the garbage, and Harrison took it back.
Episode 8.07 - "Dress Code"
In episode 7, "Dress Code" another new character named Saxon appears- I'm not sure if he's an ex GF of Cassie (Dex's new neighbor) or what, but he will play a significant role in the remainder of the season. Saxon will end up having some relationship to Vogel, probably a son. Saxon will likely frame Zach Hamilton for Cassie's murder- originally it was though Zach murdered Cassie but not anymore. Dex starts teaching Zach the Code in this episode and also tries to find out why Hannah is in Miami. Turns out Julian Sands is Hannah's husband(I was right to notice a huge ring on her left hand in set pics), a very wealthy guy she married to survive as a fugitive. He is said to be very controlling and knows all about Hannah's past ie: her murders. Sounded like he has her under his thumb. Sands doesn't make it out of the episode. His last scene is Dexter and Hannah dumping him overboard on the Slice of Life. Deb knows Hannah drugged her in ep 6 and actually isn't that upset. She makes it seem that being all "Hannah needs to die or Hannah needs to be behind bars" would put her back on the path that she went on at the end of season 7 when she killed Laguerta. Harrison overhears that Hannah is back and seems excited, looks like he still remembers her. Dexter and Hannah still profess love for one another. I didn't ask for every single detail how we get from her drugging him and Deb to them admitting that they still love each other, I'll post more if I get more details. .
Episode 8.08 - "Are We There Yet"
Episode 8, "Are We There Yet", Dex tries to help Hannah leave the country, and tries to track down Zach Hamilton b/c he wrongly believes that Zach killed Cassie.
Episode 8.09 - "Make Your Own Kind of Music"
Ep. 9:" Make Your Own Kind of Music"- Dex investigates a murder that hits close to home....Dexter investigates a murder. Meanwhile, Vogel gets the surprise of her life when someone from her past returns.
-Dex investigates a murder that hits close to home... this is likely Zach Hamilton's murder- killed by Saxon. Meanwhile, Vogel gets the surprise of her life when someone from her past returns- she discovers Saxon is related to her. Dex and Vogel search Zach's studio and possibly find evidence of Saxon killing Zach. Deb considers returning to MMPD &'smooches Quinn. Ep opens w/ Dex & Hannah spooning in a bed.
Earlier I said Dex might find a video of Zach's death while searching his studio... The video will appear in a later episode- it'll be a lot like the vid of Sussman being forced to kill that guy earlier in the season.
Episode 8.10 - "Goodbye Miami"
Episode 10 Title, "Goodbye Miami"- Dex tells Miami Metro that he is leaving & they have a going away party @ Angel's bar. The new Marshal, Clayton (who's tracking someone for Elway), shows up at Deb's beach house while Deb and Hannah are both there.
Episode 8.11 - "Monkey in a Box"
In episode 11: "Monkey in a Box" Dex tries to sell his boat to a guy who is only interested in the size of the beer cooler. He wants to get the boat inland before Hurricane Laura hits. The guy passes on purchasing the boat.
There's a hospital scene where Dex is wearing his kill suit walking through the halls until he comes to a kill room that he recognizes from one of Zach Hamilton's video or a video that Saxon made while killing Zach, I'm really confused about this. FYi, Zach is the young protege that Dex tries to tutor. He makes his first appearance in Episode 5.
There's a scene back at Dex's apartment w/ Deb & maybe Astor & Cody, Dex tells Astor that she can have his car after the storm passes by. Deb & Dex have a heart to heart and seems as though Dex is planning to leave Miami, I assume again, and Deb talks about going back to being a cop. At that point a pic of Saxon flashes on the local news and states that he is wanted in connection with several murders. I guess Dex leaked some evidence that implicated Saxon in some crimes
At some point, Saxon goes after Dex, and it looks bad for Dex, but then Saxon feels Deb's gun at the back of his head and Deb says, "Suprise, mother -", just like Doakes. Nonetheless, Saxon ends up getting away and the last scene of the episode is Saxon breaking into Debs beach house, possibly as she is home packing, getting ready to leave to meet Dex, Hannah & Harrison is South America.
Vogel dies in 11 & this is when the funeral takes place.
Episode 8.12 "Remember the Monsters"
EDITOR NOTES: There appears 2 different set of spoilers for the final episodes. Below is the first one from the poster who posted the above.
Dex, Hannah & Harrison go to the airport presumably to leave for South America, but Dex becomes convinced that security is too tight and Hannah will not be able to get through (maybe?) so he phones in a bomb threat to clear the airport and the three of them leave and head to a bus station maybe... Upon arrival at the bus station, It's possible that Dex learns that Deb is in the hospital and he leaves to go help her... Later in the episode Dex is seen carrying Deb from a stretcher down to his boat w/ Deb covered by a sheet.
Here are some more that appeared on Reddit and then were later deleted.
WARNING: MASSIVE MAJOR MONSTER SPOILER BELOW
Deb is not at a hospital. She is at Saxon's mental hospital. He's got her. This helps play in with mirroring season one. Dex rushes there and finds he is too late. Sax killed her. Harry re-appears after the argument in the previous episode. Tells Dex it his fault, should have killed Sax. Dex looks at his phone and sees several missed calls from Deb. He destroys his phone by hurling it at a wall. Dex decides he is going after Saxon and doing what he should have done all along. Hannah pleads with him to let it go, that Elway is closing in and they have to get out of Miami NOW before Laura makes shore. Dex has already made up his mind though. Sax has Debs phone, knows police will track it."
Deb really does die in the finale. The last spoken line in the finale is something about legacy, which is followed by nearly 5 minutes of no dialogue, then credits. The series does not end w/ Dex driving out to sea in a hurricane. After finding Deb dead, Hannah begs Dex to just leave for a number of reasons, including the impending storm and the fact that Elway & Marshal Clayton are closing in on her. The scene at the Argentina cafe is all in Dexter's head- a what it could've been moment. The finale episode is very dark, similar to the first season- Trash432 surmises that the writers have probably known all along how things would end. After you see the end, if you go back and re watch the season you notice a ton of little clues, foreshadowing, etc. and you'll kick yourself for not recognizing what the writers were getting at. Events starting in episode 9 really get the ball rolling for the finale.
