Lindsay Lohan was such a pro on the set of "Eastbound & Down" ... its star Danny
McBride wants to take her talents with him ... to a show he's developing for HBO.
Sources close to LL tell TMZ ... while guest starring on "E&D" Danny -- a.k.a. Kenny
Powers -- and LiLo really hit it off. Danny was so impressed with her work he had
several serious talks with her on set about a new show. He wants her to star in it.
We're told the show is being developed by McBride and his producing partner Jody
Hill. It will be in the same comedic vein as "Eastbound" ... but revolve around a high
school. Our sources say Lindsay loves the idea and is hoping it works out.

Will people stop giving her work? Sooner or later her reckless behavior is going to kill somebody, and people keep putting her in a position to do so by giving her money.
ReplyDeleteShe's gonna develop all she wants, no one will watch this.
ReplyDeleteTaking aside the fact that few people will watch if she is involved, who could find her believable as a highschool student anymore? I mean, all her addictions have wrecked her skin so much, that she looks in her 30's instead of he 20's (she's still in her 20's, right?)
ReplyDeleteI think Lindsay Lohan was a real talent wasted by bad choices and no self-control. I still hope she can turn her life around and get some stability. If this project helps her to do that, great. Though it is hard to believe that this would ever get off the ground because Lohan has proven so unreliable in previous years that it would be hard for a production company to trust and insure her. I also agree with people saying she is no longer believable as a high school student. I would hope this means she plays an adult who works at the high school.
ReplyDeleteOh dear oh dear oh dear. This girl can't put her life together enough to stay off illegal drugs... you expect her to show up for work everyday for 12 hour days? Yeah, good luck.
ReplyDeleteI think she's trying now - seriously - to fix her life how she can. She's a funny girl, she did a really good job on Chelsea Lately. If she can be professional for this maybe her career will start a real upswing. I have hopes, anyway. When she was a kid and teen I loved her work.
ReplyDeleteYes. It would be hard for the project to take off with her as a regular. HBO probably wouldn't want a Charlie Sheen situation. But who knows. And yeah, it would be silly to cast her a high school student.

ReplyDeleteTake it with a grain of salt
hey if she really is clean now, and stays that way, who knows maybe she can return.
ReplyDeleteI do wish her the best, but this sounds really really stupid.
ReplyDeleteIt does seem like she is working to get her life under control so maybe a stable job will help. I think she's done a good job in much of what she's acted in. Certainly not everything, but then what actor has been proud of every project they've worked in. She showed real talent as a kid. Here's hoping she'll get her life in order enough to show that talent now. I mean people gave up on Robert Downey Junior because of his addictions and look how well he is doing now.
ReplyDeleteI think that is the real impediment to the project. People will check it out if only to see if she's going to be a train wreck so people watching is not the issue. However, it would be hard for any studio to put that kind of money on someone they weren't sure would show up, do a professional job, or even stay alive long enough to make the project feasible.
ReplyDeletehigh school...um idk if she can pass for a student but she damn sure can pass for a teacher.
ReplyDeleteThis basically....
ReplyDeleteEVERYONE will watch it!!
ReplyDeleteI am all for giving her a another chance if she wants to turn her life around for the better, but she is not passable as a high schooler anymore. Maybe, she is a teacher?
ReplyDeleteDanny McBride is better than your CW-shows.
ReplyDeleteIt seems as though they're trying to get her work because she took rehab seriously and seems, for once, genuinely contrite and on the right path. It does happen, just ask Britney Spears.
ReplyDeleteI'll believe it when she commits to it longer. My career puts addicts and their victims in front of me all the time. It has somewhat damaged my patience with them.
