  1. Best show on Syfy right now BY FAR. Hopefully more US watchers eventually give it a chance... season 2 has really stepped it up!

  2. After this stunning season there should be no doubts about this decision! :)

Is this a good sci-fi series? I'm very hard on these kind of series because of budget and production limitations.

  6. It's fantastic, I find the small budget barely noticeable in the series.

Best scifi show since BSG and The 4400.

I'll check it out then. I've always loved Rachel Nichols.

  9. Yay! So happy to hear that! This season was so good and made the show one of my favorites.
Can't wait to see what's in store for season 3.

  10. Syfy must license this show on the cheap because the US ratings for Continuum have always been very low.

  11. I think it's doing so well in Canada, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't care and were selling it cheap to the States....

  12. I was thinking of it more from Syfy's end. With the ratings being what they are, the amount that they import the show for must have some value for the network. In other words, bargain basement prices.

  13. I'm very glad U.S. fans will get another season of "Continuum" but the real miracle about this show is that it has pretty good rating--since Syfy doesn't give it a lot of promotion, usually just on the day of the show. And, Syfy moved it from a solid sci-fi Monday night line-up to Friday--after wrestling. So "Continuum" second season didn't have a compatible lead-in.

Syfy's commitment this year has been to "Defiance" and took it (not "Continuum") to ComicCon San Diego. They didn't even have any promotional materials for "Continuum" at the Syfy booth.

As others have commented, since "Continuum" is produced in Canada (and has worldwide distribution deals) the show is being shot anyway, so as long as it's bringing in enough viewership in comparison to other Syfy shows, they network will stick with it.

  14. Well it makes sense, since they don't shoulder any of the production costs. So even minimal ratings could cover paying for the rights, plus revenue.
The thing is being shot anyway might as well show it...

  15. So glad for this series, a real gem on the resurging sci-fi genre. I'm saving the last 5 episodes for a marathon, it will be glorious!!

  17. Just finished seeing the finale season 2, on Netflix. I had waited for it to come on netflix or some place so i could see it front to season 2 finish.. and wala there it was.. spent a week and half with it and am sad that I have to wait for the next season but am happy that there is a next season. This show surpassed my like of even Lost Girl. Was incredibly true to what is going on in the world at this time. So much of it at least. Time travel not so much haha. But the writers of the show are riveting! IM like WHAT! whats that with Carlos!? Best place to hide or was he a part of it? He will save Keira!
