Banks, who earned a Supporting Actor Emmy nomination this summer for his work on Breaking Bad, will tackle the role of Pat Nichols, an intense criminology professor with a mysterious background in military and police work. The Wiseguy alum makes his first appearance in the second episode of the season when Annie (Alison Brie) enrolls in his class.

  1. When Annie get a B+ on the test, he pulls her aside and gives her the "no half measures" speech.

  2. Umm... umm... holy crap! Yes! This is an awesome choice. One of my favorite actors who played a favorite character on a favorite show of mine is now going to arguably my favorite show. Let's hope he gets more exposure than Malcolm McDowell did last year.

  10. Man, I wish Harmon had got Malcolm McDowell.

Also, imagine if Malcolm McDowell had played Pierce...okay in my fantasy Community world Malcolm McDowell is now Pierce.

  11. I would've loved Malcolm McDowell as Pierce, that'd would've been an interesting character. I'd actually find it hilarious if Fred Willard replaced Chevy next season.

  13. Awesome news. I really love Community; I have watched the first 3 seasons literally tens of times (I try not to think about season 4) and Breaking Bad is my favorite show on air along with Game of Thrones. It will be really cool to see "Mike" on Community. :P
