The Office alum will executive produce a single-camera comedy for ABC, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The untitled comedy, which has received a script commitment from the network, hails from writer Mike Arnold (Archer) and centers on a gifted but dysfunctional big-city female attorney who moves to a small town and is faced with the difficult task of adjusting.
Additionally, ABC has also given a script order to an untitled sisters comedy from My Name Is Earl writer-producer Danielle Sanchez-Witzel. The comedy revolves around two sisters, when a young woman’s life unravels, her younger sister takes her in, hoping to have a front-row seat to her perfect sister’s downfall. Sanchez-Witzel (Whitney, Love Bites) will write and executive produce the multicamera comedy from CBS Television Studios.

Why are we hearing about so many pilots now? I still haven't recovered from Upfronts. Not ready for this again!
ReplyDeleteThe projects always start popping up before the Emmy`s. It`s annyoing, because most of it we have to wait almost a year to know the fate of. If of course we dont get slam dunks like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or a show with an big star attached to (like Kevin Bacon).
ReplyDeleteThese aren't pilots YET, they are just script commitments.
ReplyDeleteFirst one: "lawyered" Hart of Dixie?
ReplyDeleteSecond one: I read "Whitney" and than ran as far away as I could.
Cool to see him EPing a show... I wonder if he'll have a role in it as well
ReplyDeleteKay, it's like you're in my head right now....
