At last a channels listening to its viewers. I lost interest in a few shows last season with all the stopping and starting, I missed a few eps to. It's hard to keep track of shows storylines like that. Let's hope the other channels follow and air 2 solid blocks of programming...happy me:)
ReplyDeleteAwesome Thanks For The Details SpoilerTV.
ReplyDeleteNow we also know the finale dates and number of episodes for these shows. That's handy too.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be a massive gap over new year, so that's the big challenge for these series to overcome. Can they produce a quality cliffhanger which will bring the viewership back after they've moved off to other networks for 6 weeks - which is a golden opportunity for all other networks to capitalize on one of the big guys being out of action.
Time will tell.
i didnt see castle appear there.
ReplyDeleteWill NBC also split schedule like last year?
ReplyDeleteSuper happy about this, it is what I have wanted all along. I don't think the break is too big at all. They will run until december and then come back very early march, I think it is perfectly reasonable. Revolution's treatment last year, for instance, was a bit too much because it left in November and came back almost in April. The way they are doing it now, it is not even 3 months. Very happy, hope it works
ReplyDeleteI don't think they've done any formal announcement, but considering that they have the winter olympics, it is very likely that they do it for some shows, yes.
ReplyDeleteCastle will run the season as normal because it is a procedural, i.e., it will miss some weeks but run during the whole year without a 2/3 months hiatus.
ReplyDeleteRegarding it being an opportunity for the other networks to captialize... Maybe but IMO, that is more with regards to Thursday to be honest. Winter Sunday is a terrible place with all the events and stuff, I doubt anyone can capitalize on that.
ReplyDeleteIt's way better like this...
ReplyDeleteWhy put revenge on schedule like this If there aren't going to air without interruptions.
ReplyDeleteThe part about Once Upon A Time makes me very, very, very, very, VERY HAPPY!! 11 episodes in a row! Then another 11 in March!
ReplyDeleteIt's possible that the other networks will capitalize, but I'm not worried about people coming back. Cable shows manage to have viewers come back with gaps of up to a year, so people have become more used to this. I prefer this kind of schedule, so I'm delighted.
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy that abc is finally realizing the big mess that they've done in scheduling especially with ouat and revenge who suffered huge ratings declines to the point where both shows ratings only got half their premiere ratings by the end of the season now if both shows uptick in quality and have less complex storylines their ratings should bounce back up
ReplyDeleteYes, thanks!
ReplyDeletefeb 27th not too bad...ill be up late alot watching greys and scandal on my Australian vaca that will take some time getting use to.
ReplyDeleteGlad they figured this out eventually. Inconsistent new episodes are what drove down LOST's ratings in the final seasons, not the show itself.
ReplyDeleteI think it's an interesting tactic.... lets see if it works out.....
