  2. Crappy poll. 24 for example had tons of better faked deaths - Renee Walker's execution would be my pick.

  3. I really enjoyed Gregory House's. It was a great ending to a groundbreaking series

Sherlock, even though House's "death" was beautifully done, my heart still breaks whenever I think about the phone call scene and Sherlock jumping off the roof.

  6. Vaughn from Alias for me.Although I'm still wondering how in the world he survived. Not that I'm complaining.

  7. Only one option? :( Sherlock Holmes in reichenbach falls and Jack Bauer in day 4 especially was heartbreaking.

  8. Agreed. House's death was beautifully done and the reason was also very beautiful - so his friend wouldn't die alone. But I chose Sherlock because the grief on John Watson's face was just plainly heartbreaking and Sherlock not only had to kill himself, but had to destroy his image as well to save his friends.

  9. Sherlock's "death" actually made me cry, which is rare. I don't normally cry about TV shows.

Jodi and Matt, yes. I was so glad that they weren't really dead.

  15. Yes! That was truely great and so sad. Kate was so messed up over that.

  16. Sherlock Holmes's fake death on Sherlock. It still makes me cry every time I watch it.

  17. OMG, I had never met anyone on Spoilertv that watched McLeods Daughters. I still thinks Sherlock`'s and Prentiss' fake deaths were way sadder, but I loved the show and was really glad to remember it :)

  18. It was quite popular here in the German speaking region...

  19. Emily Prentiss for sure. She's my favorite character of all time on any show, and I still cry. I just love her. I guess I'm still a little upset at what CBS did to Paget too and the whole reason that her death had to be faked in the first place.

  20. If "fake death" can be stretched to anytime someone dies and comes back again, then I would say Supernatural has no equal. Sam's death in AHBL1 was heartbreaking as was Dean's in No Rest for the Wicked. Buffy's in The Gift was pretty high up there too.

  21. As much as I loved House and its ending, I just have to go with Sherlock here. It was so emotional, so dramatic and honestly, I still have no clue what was going on during that scene and Sherlock's talk with Moriarty. So there's that. Can't wait to find out how he pulled it off and what Moriarty's clues were all about!

  22. My choice is Sherlock Holmes, in the Reichenbach Fall. I cant stop crying when I see his death, but all choices are heartbreaking :(

  23. Well, I was refering to someone faking his own death, but I agree that Sam and Dean's death were really sad ;)

  24. yes, it was shown for many years afterwards in Germany, in reruns and rereruns. That show and Gilmore Girls wer maybe one of the only shows I actually watched on german TV at that time. And ER...

  25. I figured you were. :-) But most of the shows I watch have people die and come back so many times, it starts to feel like everything is a fake death.

  26. Jajajajajajajaj! I totally agree with you lol

  27. Off the list Sherlock.

  28. Beat me to it!! :)

  29. yep, if an ethereal plane between Life and rebirth in multiple time line dynamics can count, then heck ya Jack, Charlie, Shannon, and Locke were all really nice surprises after having such horrible deaths.

I dont think he qualifies as a "faked" death since he actually died

One that stands out to me besides House, is Booth's in Season 4 then showing up at that funeral to take down a guy with Bones hitting him with a Rifle.

  34. Am I allowed to count Tony Almeida?
If not, Nikita: Michael or Sean's.

House. But those moments when he was faked dead was dreadful, glad he turned out not to be!.

  36. Yep, that's where I watched it. I lived in Germany for a few years.

  37. From the list, I'll go for Sherlock Holmes. I wanted to go with Other - Olivia in the end of the 4th season but since it was a real death ...

    ReplyDelete
  38. I give Freeman all the credit here..."Don't be dead!"...gets to me everytime

    ReplyDelete
  39. Greg... I mean I knew he wasn't dead and all but the built p did make me tear up quite a few times and the funeral scene killed me.

  40. Umm, Finch from Person of Interest? Revisiting the pain when he sees his fiancee every now and then and that look on his face of missing her, and then in the season finale showing how much Grace loved him when she cried?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Booth from Bones should've been on this list...

  42. Alex Cabot (Law and Order SVU)
