amy said this season that she had the intention to marry sheldon in 4 years so I think it will end with sheldon and amy's wedding by season ten, or eleven.
Sadly not anytime soon (sadly because the show is way past its good years)... even if someone quits they'll probably keep it going or worst case scenario (if it's Sheldon) they'll just do a spin-off or something.
I could see the show ending after 10 seasons. It may still be popular, but I'm not sure if the cost of the show would become too high for CBS' standards. If they do decide to continue it, I strongly believe it will end after a maximum time of 15 seasons. The actors would simply get too old, most (if not all) original stories would have been told, and basically, the show had its run. No matter how many seasons we get, I just cross my fingers we will get a proper finale.
The gimmick that these are grown men acting childishly is not going to work after a while. The cast is already aging. Jim Parsons is 40. Johnny Galecki is 38. No more than nine seasons
I think if they have managed to do it for this long, a few more seasons can be done as well. I think at least 10. Make-up does wonders. I'm more concerned for storylines and the show running out of ideas after a 10th season.
Knowing Chuck Lore, probably longer than it should last, but I do think the show has a couple more good seasons in it...
What I'm trying to say for the show's sake I hope it's in the 9-11 category, BUT I feel it might (unfortunately) fall into the 12-14 category (which IMO it shouldn't...)
Even with this past season improving, the show kind of lost it's mojo 'cause of the burning of Sheldon... They used him too much and, for me, he became a recurring and boring joke by now... Also, the characters(except Howard) have being stuck since Season 3.
This Season will be better with the interaction of Sheldon and Amy for the final episodes(i hope they go forward with that) and Raj(FINALLY!!!) talking with the female gender...
I just hope they start giving Penny a better storyline with her acting carrer and make Leonard start dressing better and such(Just when like Priya, Raj's sister, was with him)...
So it depends on how they carry the show from now... If they start developing the characters i could have 10 Seasons... If not and they forget everything these final episodes did, then just take it out of it's misery...
I know, it is a very different show from the first seasons, I am not even trying to compare it. It is not as good, but still better than most of TV comedies IMO. Just as HIMYM is not as good as the first seasons nowadays but is still better than other comedies I have tried to watch. I still enjoy both HIMYM and TBBT even though I know they are past their prime.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
14 came to my mind. Have no idea why but it's not even a wild guess.
ReplyDelete15+ is a bit exorbitant
ReplyDeleteI guess at least 10 hoping 4 more

ReplyDeleteI think it will last between 9-11 and also find this reasonable. 15+ is so much, even for TBBT :)
ReplyDeleteA "already too much" option is missing :)
ReplyDeleteLet's vote down me ;)
This show won't end until the castmembers call it quits, so i predict many many years from now.
ReplyDeleteSadly not anytime soon (sadly because the show is way past its good years)... even if someone quits they'll probably keep it going or worst case scenario (if it's Sheldon) they'll just do a spin-off or something.
ReplyDeleteThey're going to 13-14 at least.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it will be more than 10.
ReplyDelete10 I want to see L+P marry this season and S+A marry in the final.
ReplyDeletelet's hope seven.

ReplyDeleteThough I can see TBBT pulling 11+ seasons, I think it should end in season 10, just like Friends
ReplyDeleteI think if they have managed to do it for this long, a few more seasons can be done as well. I think at least 10. Make-up does wonders. I'm more concerned for storylines and the show running out of ideas after a 10th season.
ReplyDeleteI think will be just 11 or more I love the show so for me not a problem.
ReplyDeleteNo idea, but they will milk it as long as they can. CBS and Chuck Lorre sure know how to exteeeend a show.
ReplyDeleteAs long as it stays funny, I'm onboard though.
9/11 i believe ten is enough!
ReplyDelete9-11

It's had too many already.
ReplyDeleteThank you for saying that. This show went downhill after 2.
ReplyDeleteeasily 10 - 11 if two and half men can do it so can TBBT

Where's the "more than it should" option?
ReplyDeleteWhy vote you down when that's the best option?
ReplyDeleteI have to believe that The Big Bang Theory will last longer than Two and a Half Men. I have faith in humanity and comedy.
ReplyDeleteI'll say 10 seasons
ReplyDeleteI don't watch the show but I know it been around quite a while so I voted for 12-14 even though it would probably be around 10 seasons.
ReplyDeleteThe funny was lost a while ago... I started watching because I'm a science nerd but the show shifted away from the science humour a long time ago.
