If the baby starts yelling, "Pink stars are falling in lines," Chester's Mill is doomed. Seriously though, is the leave-covered item the mini dome they were talking about? It is smaller than I expected if it is. No wonder people haven't seen it yet. I'd also say Ollie better watch his back and hope he doesn't have any electrical devices in his body. Evil Jim is about to start rampaging. No one takes Evil Jim's power.
I hope so. I have to say that the idea of a mini-dome is very intriguing, especially if it does move around like people were hinting with spoilers. What is its purpose? Does it hold a key to understanding the dome? Lots of great questions to be answered.
My whacked out, crazy idea is what if the dome really is protection because something apocalyptic is going to happen to the rest of the world. What if the dome shelters the human race through it and there are other domes in other small town communities as well?
I haven't read it. I was going to later didn't get a chance to before the pilot aired. Then I was going to over the break but then someone put the ending in a comment on TVbtN so I probably won't now.
The book is quite different from the TV series but really interesting. I still reading Under The Dome, I did not finish it yet but I think some characters are more interesting in the book than in the series (like Junior and the reverent for example), but the contrary is true too (Barbie, Julia and others are far better in the series than in the book).
Interesting. I will have to check it out. I find it weird that Barbie and Julia are better in the show, than in the book -- just because of the background that the show has given them. The fact that the "bad guys" are more interesting in the book makes me wonder if the Dome does have some affect on people like Junior said.
The pink-stars-falling-etc thing made me think of meteorites. Maybe the Dome is an experimental protective system to shield cities from a future apocalyptic meteor-shower. Or maybe the same thing, but with nuclear weapons instead of meteors. I really hope it has nothing to do with aliens!
LOL, I had no idea the book ended like that. I'm glad they're deviating. Maybe my stranded alien idea isn't so far off, now with the sneak peek revealing a black egg under the mini-dome.
If I hadn't read the spoiler about a mini-dome, I would have been certain it was the body. It will be a shame if that isn't dealt with before season 2 but I could see them waiting.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteCan't wait!
ReplyDeleteAt least it looks like it will be better than this week's episode...
ReplyDeletePerhaps this is the first time they find it?

ReplyDeleteExactly! With the dome apparently being sentient I had this, way outside the box idea. What if it the dome itself is an alien?
ReplyDeleteI recently rewatched Star Trek The Next Generations Encounter At Farpoint and the idea popped in my head. Might be to crazy though. :P

ReplyDeletethe baby is gonna talk now, like in Falling Skies? Aliens and Baby one of them likes the other.
ReplyDeleteIf you read the Wikipedia synopsis of the book, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Under_the_Dome
ReplyDeletethe alien idea is not too far off.
At first I thought they had found Peter Shumway's body. I do wish that would happen, so we could get it over with.
ReplyDeleteI already had the book ending spoiled for me so all I can say is I am very glad they are not going with that ending.
ReplyDeleteIs the book good?

Hmm, very well could be. I think it's a great idea too! :)

ReplyDeletePerhaps it's just an alien nesting?
I second that. Making it an alien thing would feel like a cop-out to me although I have no idea what it could be if it's not.

ReplyDeleteI bet the baby will be weird. Excited
