HBO’s single-camera comedy pilot written, directed and executive produced by Mark Duplass and his brother Jay Duplass is joining the schedule. Some guys have all the luck: Mark originally was not attached to star in the project because the actor was too busy in front of TV and film cameras. Now he’ll also be on Togetherness because my source says HBO has picked up the half-hour for 8 episodes to begin production in Los Angeles in early 2014. Pilot credits also include co-exec producer Stephanie Langhoff, and Steve Zissis as an actor, writer and consulting producer. The series follows two couples living under the same Los Angeles roof and struggling in their relationships while dealing with their individual problems. The foursome consists of Tina Morris (Amanda Peet) who moves in with her sister Michelle Pierson (Melanie Lynskey) and her husband Brett (Mark Duplass), plus Brett’s over-the-hill actor friend Alex (Zissis).
