Sorry for the delay, but I was a) working a lot and b) not feeling very well over the weekend, but I'm back now and ready for the next battle. When we left off, we said a surprise goodbye to Beauty and the Beast, one of the top three shows in terms of nominations for the competition, at the first hurdle, losing by the slenderest of margins to Bones. Also, NBC's Hannibal pulled off a good victory over Teen Wolf, and remains one of the competition's dark horses.
Today sees Gossip Girl taking on The Office in a tough to call battle, whilst one of Round Ones most anticipated battles, Doctor Who vs. Fringe, also finally reaches the fight itself.
For anyone who missed the rules, here they are again:
1) Two shows will go into battle in a poll, where after exactly 24 hours, the leading show will win the battle and will progress into the next round.

Fringe vs Doctor Who? Ouch that is cruel! Went for Fringe as the last few series of Who haven't been wall to wall quality. Also voted for The Office.
ReplyDeleteNo vote for me today. I watched GG but dropped it pretty quickly, the others I don't watch (Fringe's on the watchlist tough).
ReplyDeleteSince I find it morally aprehensible to vote for Gossip Girl (just kidding. . . Not really), my vote goes to The Office. Though it pains me to vote against Fringe, I have to give my vote to Doctor Who.

ReplyDeleteWent for The Office and Doctor Who, although I haven't watched DW regularly since David Tennant left. I just could never get into Fringe for some reason, despite trying a few times.
ReplyDeleteEasily The Office in the first poll... The next poll is the toughest choice in the competition for me but in the end i had to go with Fringe since there are only 2 or 3 other shows that would make me vote against Fringe and Doctor Who isn't one of them...

Don't watch either show in the first one and the second poll is way too difficult. Either way a really good show is going to leave in the first round. After much debate I went with Doctor Who for history and because it is losing.

From the second one I went with Fringe though. As much as Dr.Who is right up my alley I just never got into it....

ReplyDeleteSince I hate-watched the last half of the Gossip Girl series, voting for The Office is an easy call. What's not an easy call is voting in the Doctor Who / Fringe poll. I voted for Fringe, simply because I think Who had fewer strong episodes than Fringe during the same broadcast window.
