After Frye's discovery of many, many bodies left by the mysterious killer, The Bridge picks up on a bit of a somber note. At her husband's funeral, Charlotte mourns with her late husband's daughter. The two don't get along very well to say the least. In the midst of everything that is happening, however, an angry daughter is the least of Charlotte's worries. While Charlotte tries to put her life back together, she is forced to deal with Karl's former business partners. As you can expect, they are not as keen on shutting down the tunnel as she is.
Meanwhile, Frye is unwilling to cooperate with the police... that is until Wade offers him a little information in return. Wade is obviously used to dealing with selfish people like Frye and knows how to work with them. Unfortunately for Frye, his first piece of information leads him to Juarez. This part of the episode provides a small amount of comic relief simply because of Frye's arrogant behavior and his complete ignorance on the happenings of Juarez. Luckily, he has someone to help him on his journey.
As they investigate the bodies found around the shrine at the end of the last episode, Marco and Sonya try to figure out the killer's MO. Even after all of the messages, the two seem to be confused about why the killer is doing what he is doing. They decide to follow a lead that takes them straight to the mysterious Steven character. I don't want to say too much about their first meeting, but you definitely don't want to miss it.
Speaking of first meetings, Marco gets his wish from the last episode and is able to introduce his family to Sonya. As you could guess it's very awkward. Once again, Sonya does as little talking as she can possibly get away with and refuses to shake hands. Even with her awkward attitude, Sonya's exceptional good looks don't seem to set very well with Marco's wife. It's a little early to tell, but she seems to feel threatened by Sonya....but Sonya isn't really the one she should be worried about. Charlotte later finds herself back in the police station and Marco later finds himself at Charlotte's house. Now I know what Demian Bichir (Marco) was talking about on that conference call last week.
This episode was better than the last episode, but it's not saying much because as far as I'm concerned these first 3 episodes have been fantastic!
